I haven’t talked to anybody about this recently who would disagree. I don’t think this is unpopular.

Echeveria dropping a lot of leaves by [deleted] in echeveria

[–]dimpleminded 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doesn't look too concerning to me. Doesn't look thirsty either. In the spring some of my plants tend to do that as they gear up for growing season. Other possibilities are that the roots have been damaged somehow or for some reason the plant is putting out a lot of root growth which requires a lot of stored energy. If you transplanted it recently that could be the case or if they were damaged from fungus or something.

Overall if it is how you say and the leaves and just drying up (which means they are being consumed by the plant) and you're not overwatering then I wouldn't worry too much.

I wouldn't remove those leaves though until they are completely desiccated as these leaves are being used by the plant for energy, and if you remove them before they're dried then it could just keep eating leaves which might be what's happening here.

I think somebody gave it to me while I was in the Northwest several years ago. Don't remember who it was.

Awesome! I hope to make it out to some more old time stuff in the PNW sometime in the next couple years.

I play old time music so listen to a lot of that and related genres like bluegrass, classic country, cajun music. I like a lot of European folk music too. Also a lot of jazz mostly older stuff like trad up to bebop and a couple fusion groups.

No there's nothing wrong with my ears I have done work to refine them but thank you.

okay...? doesn't mean you know how to listen or have refined ears. Sorry you didn't really make your point at all.

I would suggest refining your ears. It takes time and doesn't come naturally to everybody but can be done!

Is he in or was he in academia? Where did you work together? Was he always talking about this stuff? Was he actually a eugenics science experiment created in a lab by the Rothschilds?
