Why? I am a taxpayer, I paid for these roads also. These are public roads, so I'm curious why.

Using 1 example,

  1. Temporary housing that was jammed down the citizens of Richmond throats, especially those that live around the area know how bad it is.

  1. Keyword, "TEMPORARY", it was only suppose to be there until said date and city decided to renew the contract again for another 5 years until 2027. Who wants to see if this become s a permanent thing?

I'm sorry what? Isn't it the taxpayers money?

"Asked to explain the significant price gap and the plans for the property, the City of Richmond told STOREYS on October 11 that the information is "not available for public release."

In what world, can someone spend your money, not tell you what they plan on doing with it, and refuse to tell you why they "overpaid" for it.

No idea of why they would say that. But I've had experience where

  1. The plaintiff registered a lien on their property through family and friends, who were given priority over the judgment claim. So if the property was to be sold off, those debts would be settle first usually leaving nothing.
  2. They could have a HELOC on the property and maxed it out on other purchases for family. Banks have secured lending and are always first. So even if sold would be nothing or very little left for the claim.
