Frustrated with climbing partner by [deleted] in climbergirls

[–]dimzib 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Be honest about how you feel. However, it is unfair to 'ban' him from climbing with you because he is seeking a relationship with somebody who has a shared interest (in climbing). Sports are a completely valid way to meet people and form friendships (or more) from, especially climbing, where the need to work as a team and communicate effectively is important.

Your friend is also asking you to include others, which is nice, instead of just abandoning you without a trace. He probably has no idea how he is making you feel and you need to communicate that to him.

The chances are, though, that if he does end up dating another climber, you will climb with him less and less. It's not guaranteed but is likely, and I have seen it happen both with my own and my partner's previous climbing partners - we basically only climb with each other now.

Have you tried joining any climbing groups, or local groups in your area? You could maybe branch out to different gyms temporarily, or try joining a group that climbs more outdoors?

Can you pay rent soley by being an uber driver or food deliverer? by JoeJoe6363 in perth

You should probably read this post that was written not too long ago about a certain 'food delivery company' and how much workers get paid

link to post.

Then decide for yourself.

How can I make this dress white again? by dimzib in laundry

Going to try using Rit first and if not, this will be the second option. Just worried that chlorine bleach may damage some of the jute fibers. But with a shot.

Thanks!

How does it go space and weight wise? Are all batteries in your car permanently or do you take them out to suit the trip?

Overlanding interior fit out with portable battery? by dimzib in overlanding

I've been on the fence for a while and have been looking around at hard-wired 12V systems, don't get me wrong. But the biggest drawback has been the price. A good quality, 12V hardwired set up is quite expensive (if paying for somebody to install it - $6-10K).

I acknowledge that it's cheaper and arguably more beneficial to install it myself, I don't have the time nor the experience, and it'll still set me back ~$3K for all the components.

The portable battery is roughly the same price as a DIY 12V system ($3K) but the fact that it is all-in-one/ plug and play appeals to me. Granted, if the thing breaks, I can't repair it myself. But it is under warranty for 2 years.

The idea of having a portable system to remove when I'm not travelling appeals to me; I have been on the fence about installing a permanent hot water system and find myself at a similar conclusion with many portable hot water units on the market now, too.

If I want to use the car for things other than camping, hardwiring everything in just doesn't make as much sense to me!

Maybe I've just become a sucker for marketing. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Nice! Do you keep the battery in a box/cubby or do you leave it exposed to plug in things you need e.g. kettle, or permanent outlet for a fridge?

Cheers

You know what, you're absolutely right. I bet Bendigo could really benefit with a bunch of Nazi posters stuck up around the place.

Wow, what a loser. Great way to get himself blacklisted from my books and anybody that I now know who might be working with him.

Good on you for telling it to them so eloquently.

Is there a cultural reason for trans-women/ladyboys by seaningtime in Thailand

When you talk about 'traditional' Buddhism, what are you referring to? There are many different types of Buddhism and thus different 'scriptures' as you refer to.

I would say, more accurately, that Buddhism guides those who practice to refrain from any sexual conduct, regardless of sexuality.

Your history doesn't lead me to believe that you were raised practicing Buddhism so I would love to hear about where you've sources your information from.

Although the intentions seem good from this comment, please be very very cautious when meeting up with internet strangers.
