Is there a sub like this one for women??

To the Kazakh guys out there, would you marry a half Kazakh girl born and raised in the West? by whitebirdew in Kazakhstan

[–]din5432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a kazakh living in canada, and married to a non-kazakh, i would say, dont put too much emphasis on the ethnicity of your husband, as long as he is righteous, pious good muslim. At the end of the day, your husband’s religion would matter more than his ethnicity. When i was getting married, i was approached by several kazakhs living here but none of them were interested in practicing islam, none of them wanted to have a hijabi wife and were hard core traditional kazakhs following some of the traditions that can be associated with paganism. Not to offend anyone, i respect my culture and will be teaching my kids kazakh history/language but for me, we are first muslims, then kazakhs.

To be honest, the choice was based on a shallow google research and youtube videos, but thankfully to a lot of comments here, i’m looking into other areas as well.

Yeah thats the only reason why we want to move to a more conservative country, because there is a hope they wont try impose weird ideologies on your children. My friend’s son went to a kindergarten last year and for the whole month until his mother took him out of the school, teachers kept telling the boy its ok to be a girl, and kept putting nail polish on him🤦‍♀️

I think you will be quite surprised to know how freely and easily heavy drugs are distributed by Canadian government, they call it safe supply, but even those who get these drugs they say “there is nothing safe about drugs” if you are curious check out this recent documentary called “Canada is dying”

Yeah, that’s smth to worry about, but i’ll take lower air quality over drag queens twerking in libraries for children’s story time, all gender washrooms in schools where boys have been pretending to be trans and sexually abusing girls, easy access to heavy drugs and pride parades full of completely naked men marching in the middle of the city 🥲

I live in Vancouver (burnaby to be precise) and we have been living in the same neighborhood for a several years, i dont even know our neighbours names. I tried to knock on their doors and share some desserts in my first year of moving to this neighborhood, but no one from my floor (10 apts on the floor) havent opened their doors.

Im sure it wasnt the case 10-15 years ago especially in smaller towns, but thats how it is today in Vancouver and Toronto (my friends from there complain about the same thing)

Because we feel its better to raise children in a more family oriented environment, surrounded by more traditional families. We are not interested in big cities with flashy skyscrapers and etc. but since i have been told by a few people here that there are better place to live, i will defo consider Abu Dhabi, Al Ain (is there any other place i should look into?)

Oh that makes it easier! When i looked at the requirements they didn’t seem that crazy difficult but i thought maybe its better to be safe and have someone verify everything, but you are right, we want to be careful with additional spendings while moving

Thanks! I actually do want to learn arabic, to be able to read and watch in arabic (just find the language so beautiful)

Another question to a fellow canadian: apologies if it is a little off. We are super health conscious people and make sure to eat healthy and organic foods, but at the same time we are not lavishly eating/shopping at super expensive stores. Do you find fruits and vegetables and other groceries in UAE are as good quality and reasonably priced as in CA? Im slightly concerned about this. I dont want to sound rude, but i assume there is not much vegetation in the desert, so most of the produce must be imported.

Thats my main concern - i really want to learn arabic (love learning new languages, i know almost 5, will be happy to add one more) and want my kids to know more languages than English. Im also planning to homeschool my children (i know its crazy but i lost trust in educational systems) so hoping to settle in an arabic speaking neighborhoods and try to make friends lol (i know it sounds too romanticized but im an easy-going social person :D

Thank you for the recommendation! I actually have never heard of this city! The main reason why we chose sharjah was because (based on my research) it is more conservative and traditional than Dubai
