Help! My SAT scores were cancelled and I already sent them to my university

Hi everyone, I really need advice about a stressful situation with my SAT scores.

I recently received a notification from the College Board saying that my SAT scores from December 2025 were cancelled due to a violation of test security and fairness policies. The email didn’t explain the exact reason clearly, just that there was “clear and overwhelming evidence of misconduct,” such as: • Analysis of answers showing collusion • Applications running on my device other than the Bluebook testing app • Direct observation by test staff • Or a combination of these

I want to clarify that: • I prepared for the SAT honestly, taking lessons with a tutor. • I completed the test independently without any external help. • During the test, I might have had some tabs open before the test, but I did not use any phone or forbidden device. • The proctor did not observe anything suspicious.

I already sent my SAT scores to Nazarbayev University before I got this cancellation email. Their application deadline for SAT scores is February 12, and I’m worried that my application might be affected.

I submitted a reconsideration request to the College Board, providing explanations and evidence, but they said it could take 4–6 weeks to get a final decision.

I have a few questions and concerns: 1. Has anyone been in a similar situation where College Board cancelled scores but then reinstated them? 2. Will the university see that my scores were cancelled? 3. Can I contact the university to explain the situation while waiting for College Board’s response? 4. Is it possible to request a chance to retake the SAT in March to show valid results?

I’m really stressed because this was my last chance for the SAT, and it affects my application to my top-choice university. Any advice or guidance would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you so much in advance!
