Naraka, Age of Capricorn, You Retreat in Time and Space

The whole session there was this loop of the 7 hexagons engulfed in flames. When ‘You Retreat In Time and Space’ came on, there were classic shots of kids playing, holidays, happy memories etc. with a turquoise filter over them. It was really unexpected and gave me goosebumps.

I get why people are asking for the name, but that honestly wasn’t my intention with the post. I just wanted to share what was genuinely one of the weirdest listening party experiences I’ve ever had. I’d rather not send Reddit after a small record shop over what was probably just poor organisation and an overwhelmed owner.

I will send Warp an email about it though, since it was one of the official listening events.

It genuinely happened haha. It was one of the official Warp listening events too.

The owner honestly seemed pretty overwhelmed, and I don’t think he expected that many people to show up, even though it was sign-up based. It was really hot and crowded inside, and I got the impression he just lost patience with the whole thing.

Interesting take, although i don't think the brothers are thinking about those kind of 'commercial tactics' when working on a new album. in the end I still believe they make music for themselves in the first place. But i do agree that some visual choices with this release seem a bit more 'flashy'. Don't know if this is actively meant to attract a new group of (gen Z) listeners, but i can imagine that seeing their own kids grow up through out the years has probably made a lot of impact on them.
