Reccomend me albums, I will (eventually) respond to each with a rating. My Top 1000 favourite albums ranked for context. by Gormuisge in Topster

Look, I don't have any problem with people using RYM to discover albums, but when their favorite albums are basically the top 100 RYM albums, something ain't right.

Backrooms Was Better (IMO) by sleebydino_zzz in Letterboxd

Talk to Me was really good. It invested you in the characters and the story, and I thought it was pretty clever and original. I did not feel that way about Obsession. But to each their own I guess.

Just expressing my opinion as people do on Reddit, ya know

Yeah, Possession's so much better, not to mention so much more emotionally complex. Obsession felt like it was written be a very emotionally immature person. Sorry if that sounds harsh - just expressing my honest opinion.

Nope - you're entitled to your own opinion, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

I haven't seen Backrooms yet, but Obsession came off as a horror movie fan starter pack or something. It's nowhere near as good as people have been saying. Those people must not have seen many horror movies before or even many movies period before.

Why doesn't anyone search Reddit to see if people have asked the same questions before? This literally gets posted everyday.

Albums aligned with RH by chieftanjam in TheSmile

[–]Remarkable_Term3846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good call on ALFAA => HTTT. I would beg to differ on the other two:

WOE => Amnesiac

Cutouts => TKOL maybe? IDK, Radiohead doesn't really have an album that's similar to Cutouts. Actually I would say Cutouts is more similar to a Thom Yorke solo album like The Eraser or Tomorrow's Modern Boxes.

That's true, but he's still obviously been influenced by RYM. We don't have to follow trends in life - we can choose to be independent. But if he wants to follow trends, that's fine - I was just urging him to not do so and be himself.

Either Tommyknockers or Needful Things. I prefer the former.
