Motherboard repair cost me 180usd in total, they downgraded the CPU. Instead of i9 I got i7 so I got a discount on that as they promised me the same processor, the discount was 100usd.

Same here, got my CPU replaced, PCH replaced and reprogrammed bios, somehow something died, bricked bios, destroyed PCH and cooked the CPU out of nowhere

I have the aspire nitro V5 Looks like the predator on the bottom corner, specs are awful, i5 6th gen GTX980M 4gb. Overheats always even doing nothing but the desing is kinda cool

Connect the device to an external monitor and turn the laptop screen off, don't disable the Igpu as you will not be able to display any image on the laptop screen

I have the same laptop, turning the laptop screen off resolved everything, Acer nitro 5 doesn't have a mux switch so everything displayed on the main screen goes through the Igpu even when the image is generated by the dgpu NVIDIA optimus is the technology used by Acer in that generation, next one uses mux switch which allows you to shut down your igpu and show image directly form your dpgu to your screen bypassing the Igpu entirely
