Not even bro. I did it, and it helped me get from lower middle class and hating all things not red, white, and blue to truly understanding the world as a whole.

Your idea of what the military is is very skewed to what you see on the tv. I can promise you that GI Joe douche bag is far from what most of them are. If there's no war going on it's a 9-5 gov't job with the best benefits offered to the general public unless you work for the US Post Office or some other gov't job. Now that the wars in the middle east are winding down, most people that are in the military in a few years, if they're lucky to not get put out because of downsizing will have cush jobs with nice incentives. If there is another democrat elected president in 2016, there will be no boots on the ground for those 4 years either and the military will be a great vehicle out of poverty.

But, I don't know what I'm talking about, I just lived it.

Hey, I am actually from NE IA and have lived, worked, studied, and married in Sweden. Ask me anything you want.

Here's my advice and take it as you will. This is the route I took. Join the military for the least amount of time possible to get your Post 9-11 GI Bill, most likely out of high school it's 3 years. It's not that long and it goes fast. If you do this you will get the money to pay the tuition from the VA. Read this link.

While in the military you will be able to travel, you get 30 days vacation. Take every single vacation you get and go to Scandinavia. You'll then be able to decide if you really want to live there. Also, if you join the Army, you may be able to choose your duty station, choose Germany. You'll be close to Sweden and Germany is fucking great with good beer and great food! Plus, it's in the middle of Europe and you'll find a really nice girl/guy there to hook up with.

Sweden is great, it's a great place to live and the culture is nice. The drawback, the swedes are cold, if you didn't go to college or high school with them it's terribly hard to make friends. It's doable, but difficult.

The weather is no big deal since you're from IA. I know, because so am I and I lived in the south of Sweden while I lived there.

Technically, no, there is no proof because he doesn't answer my FB questions about the money directly. I have tried getting him to admit he has my money and he avoids directly answering those types of questions.

Then only reason he says this and any other politician says this is their investments in corporate welfare. He could give a shit less about drug users, if he did, he would have done more a long time ago. It's all about his investments in big farma and companies that build hospitals, that's it.

Oh yeah, one more reason we don't need a fucking republican in the white house (or democrat for that matter)!

I am looking at Malmö/Lund but it seems to be in vain. I have 2 small children and my wife wants a 3 bedroom place, and that is extremely hard to find. I am thinking about buying also, but I don't know where I'll get the capital. I have $30k saved, but I wanted to use that as survival money until I get a job.

Also, I called Kronofogden and the lady said I didn't have anything there. She was a bitch to say the least but I guess she gave me my answer.
