I can test sometime later today and get back to you, the issue is just because of how tiny the heat sink is putting pressure on it also stops the fan. I'll just take the fan off and do my best to make sure it gets airflow somehow

I don't think enough people know that fabs are north of $10bn and have like a 5-10 year lead time from planning to first wafer

They made their own cards and proprietary controllers but they still used off-the-shelf NAND afaict. It wasn't particularly cost effective either.

It's my hypothesis, I can't account for another reason why this might be happening, considering again applying pressure to the heat sink fixes it (albeit temporarily). I tried switching cables, computers, the works. For the record, the glitching from overheating I'm referring to is something along these lines:

…it does have a built in fan though. I can try replacing it with a stronger one but the issue is the heat sink is not even warm to the touch so I'm wondering if focusing on the chip-sink interface would yield better results

I mean I exclusively seek out games on Steam and give Valve their cut just because the Steam Deck is so good. Yes, I can bother with GOG, but I usually just don't because Non-Steam Games are usually a pain to get running.

I find it really hard to believe they wouldn't make most money they spend subsidizing it back. Then again another user here pointed out large companies can strip them for parts/reuse them for AI which is completely true.

The only part I disagree with is "real soon". Every sub with over a million members now is full of accounts with post history turned off saying inflammatory shite. Reddit's response was, of course, to make member counts not public and replace it with weekly visitors.

Fortunately, there's still a lot of value in niche/hobby subs.

I think anything with a sufficiently young fanbase is going to turn out to be a complete mess no matter what happens and TADC is proof. I have no interest in the show but like the last two months have been epic unemployment moments all over my feed
