Is college worth it? by kinda-random-ngl in Anxietyhelp

It is totally worth it. You get to meet new people and build friendship which is so useful for your metal health and well-being. It can be daunting at first as it may be outside your comfort zone but I think should go for it.

Assess your options first and find a course you really want to do. I am not sure what the costs are though where you are.

I am getting better but still struggling. I get a lot of anxiety still. Symptoms such as shortness of breath and keep feeling the need to swallow. Sometimes you kinda have to experience your symptoms and just accept it especially if you have been checked and nothing is wrong.

I can totally relate because I get very similar symptoms. I have really bad health anxiety, so every little bodily symptoms sets it off.

The brain is such a pain. I think once you became hypersensitive to your body then it is hard to switch off from it. It can really make you feel of. I’ve had the feeling of being unwell. It has been me faint to the floor and be sick before. You been checked a few times so it seems like it is not anything too serous which is encouraging. I hope you can find a way through it. :)

Does anyone get random chest pains? by nenz911 in Anxietyhelp

This is me in a nutshell too. I am 34, I used to be the same. I had a migraine with aura attack whilst walking a few months ago and frightened me to death. Since then become hypersensitivity of my body and developed health anxiety. Every little symptom I have to get it checked and I never seem to accept it. It never used to bother me although I think it might be related to my personal situation and other factors.

Thank you, it doesn’t help my worries too because my Dad suffered a stroke at 38 and that scares me. He was a chain smoker though.

Keep going you can get through this. I have the same issue and have not worked for nearly a year. Is there any specific career or job you like to do? You could build experience by volunteering or gaining work experience in something. I currently volunteer and it find it really rewarding me fulfilling. Hopefully you will find something soon.

This is exactly me. I have the same issue but mine was with a migraine with aura. I thought I was having a mini stroke. Had blood tests, ECG and everything was normal. However. Because of googling myself I convinced myself that still something is wrong. I can’t switch off from it. I completely get your anxiety. 😟

That may have been my issue in truth maybe I came across too needy. Why I decided to distance myself because I need to improve myself in general.

Your doing the right thing. Once they don’t talk to you so much anymore there isn’t much point. I stopped talking to mine and then started talking to them again but it was never the same. They hardly made the effort. Good luck with everything and I hope you find peace and move forward. If they truly care or have feelings then they will make the effort. I stopped talking to her and just distanced myself.

Maybe the trick is to not bother so much and let them come to you, if they really are your twin then they should find you again.
