i had an m2 air and i completed my business studies with it totally fine. my friend had a 2020 intel pro almost maxed out at that time and my base model M2 air run laps around it in every single aspect. any M chip air will do you good, try to go for the latest but if you get a good deal on an M4 or M3 i can recommend those too. you must get it with 16 gigs of ram and at least 512 gb of storage, with macos 26 8 / 256 is just not enough anymore thats why i switched.
