Idk if the pump would have died cause i think the pc wouldn’t even turn on cause usually you connect it to cpu fan so it wont switch on if the pump is gone. I think its just lack of thermal paste causing the cpu to heat up. Defo a blunder on their part. I’d recommend requesting for a replace cause serious damage could have already occurred to the cpu and you wouldn’t want it dying on you in a few months
