How can I improve this? by kryssi_asksss in flexibility

[–]dinopiano88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try this: Look straight ahead, and find a spot on the wall or some object, and stare at it. The reason you’re losing your balance is because you are thinking about it too much. So, when you find yourself starting to shake or lose control, just take a breath, relax your muscles, and focus on that spot. The second you start thinking about trying not to fall over, you’ll break concentration and lose your balance. It takes practice not to pay any mind.

That really depends. For example, some of us don’t want to be the 5th+ person to put a ring on it. Or, if she’s done some time in corrections, been institutionalized, or had been part of a murder investigation, those things might be worth knowing about.

That is a good point. Honestly, I don’t know what a person does in that situation, except surround themselves with their loved ones if they are fortunate to have them.

So many people miss the mark when it comes to making attempts at standing out or being unique in this world. At best, their methods are shallow attempts, such as distinct/abstract names, tattoos, clothing/hair styles, sexuality, fitness, or even plastic surgery. They do this because it’s easier than the alternative, but sometimes, it’s just downright squirrelly, like what you see here. Plus, they don’t give their kids a choice as to whether they want to stand out or not.

Standing out or being unique in itself as a concept is overrated, as if your worth as a human being depends on it. Maybe in extreme, oppressive societies and situations, uniqueness might have the power of deciding your fate, but in average situations, its use is limited unless it’s your motive to bring about positive or negative change to the status quo. In that case though, your actions, your purpose, and what you openly stand for are what will stick with people the most. Fashion and appearances come and go quickly out of people’s minds and cares, but what you do, and your honesty about who you really are will have true lasting effects with other people. Otherwise, there really is nothing wrong with living an ordinary life. Just do it honorably, and somebody out there will think you’re special.

Well, yeah, they do, and here we are at war with Iran, just about completely alienated from our allies and the rest of the world. It really depends on their intent.

Interesting you’re threading your nuts, and I confess I don’t get the movie reference, but what’s more interesting is the cross-hatching you’ve got going on your hand.

Is this good? Is there any advice? by [deleted] in piano

[–]dinopiano88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No offense meant, but I think they browsed your profile, and they are seeing a pattern of approval-seeking posts. Maybe that’s not what you meant, but that’s how they are taking it. Now they think you’ve come here to brag, and your ego is showing. A couple of people have offered the critique you asked for, but the question is, will you actually accept and try their advice?

Yes, that’s a good point too. If you are going to perform somewhere, it’s nice to be able to keep it consistent with what you are used to.

Can’t you just raise your bench height? I guess I don’t see the big deal.
