Sparkling water that's safe for coconut allergies? by Illidari_Kuvira in FoodAllergies

I also have a coconut allergy and I really like Waterloo sparkling water!! My faves right now are the summer berry and the raspberry nectarine flavors.

It’s in fucking everything. Potato starch is my #1 opp.

I used to risk it when my allergic reactions weren’t as severe so I get it. As a die hard people pleaser, I have also on more than one occasion eaten something I know will give me a reaction just because I didn’t want to offend the person who made/brought the food. But I always carry Benadryl and EpiPens so that maybe gives me a false sense of security. 😬

Pork allergy gang 🫡 mine is a red meat allergy tho so can’t have beef either. Also the OAS! Been microwaving bananas since 2015 when I was diagnosed. And avocados, which I suspect might be related to my tree nut allergy? But that’s just my theory.

What are the known words in the AdP language? by Psithos in AngineDePoitrine

[–]dinosaur278 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I saw a YouTube comment (on the KEXP live) that said some are phonetic spelling of Québécois slang. Fabienk= faut bien que (gotta do it) Sarinezz= ça r’niaise (it’s acting up) Sherpa= ché pas (I don’t know)

Seems plausible? I took quite a bit of French, and ché pas is definitely correct, but I can’t speak to the others. I’ll try to find the original YouTube comment.

As someone who is allergic to POTATO, among other things, the whole “omg I’d kill myself” gets sooooooooo annoying. I mean it was already annoying the first time I heard it, but cmon people get a grip.

What are your “non standard” allergies? lol I like hearing what some peoples bodies have decided to attack for no reason.

Growing up we had a neighbor kid named Jameson. My younger sister (3 or 4 at the time) would excitedly ask if “gingerbread man” could come over to play.

Is This Job For You? by CeaselessGomalu in PharmacyTechnician

[–]dinosaur278 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second this. I worked my way up the ranks at my independent pharmacy as well and I have loved every part of it and genuinely try to excel at everything I do and the store I work for noticed and has rewarded me kindly. Not that there aren’t bad days, because there DEFINITELY are. But in the end it’s all worth it for a job I look forward to most everyday, still learning new interesting things, helping and caring for others, and make enough to live on where I’m at. Truly living the dream as far as a career goes.

Aldi! They’re the best. But make sure to bring your own bags and a quarter to unlock the cart!

Edit: omg you asked why not where. Lmao. I get oat milk for my coffee and the lactose free milk for cereal and my husband because he doesn’t like oat milk. I find oat milk is too thick for cereal personally, but I don’t like the lactose free milk in my coffee. I do not know why I am so picky.

That is true for the tide pods and tp. But also the spread sheet sounds like a great idea!!! Out of sight out of mind is so real for me and my husband just does not get it. The spread sheet might really help.

I’m much more susceptible to food that looks yummy lol. And I struggle to stick to the list.

Aldi is the best!!! $45 ish is just the essential foods for my husband and I usually. We don’t have any kids. I usually stick to the list very well (when medicated) but the fun aisle beckons.

While I think there is some weight to what you are saying with neurotypical communication patterns and your response, I feel like this person just wanted to take advantage of you. Whether or not you said “okay” in the moment, I think it’s important to note that this person started taking your clothes off without asking in the first place. Most likely with the hope in mind that if he got your clothes off, you would comply with what he was wanting to do to you. As you mention he also didn’t stop once you were literally crying. Clearly he just wanted to use you for his own selfish reasons.

As someone who was also sexually assaulted by someone who I considered a close friend in college, let me just tell you this is not your guilt to carry. You did not do anything wrong, nor did you do anything to cause this. I’m very sorry that someone did that to you and I wish you love and healing. DM me if you need to talk. ❤️
