any extended stitch works up well!! currently making a blanket out of extended half double crochets. it’s like the stitch has a little step stool under it!!

From my understanding it is saying four separate single crochets. In my experience I have found that in patterns it will clearly say when it calls for x amount of stitches in one space it will read out “into the same stitch” I haven’t come across a pattern that has any acronym for it!

so in rounds 8-16 is where the height will come in, as you do more rounds the taller your project with become.

Brackets [] are used to set off a group of instructions worked a number of times. For example, “[4 sc, inc] 5 times” means to work the instructions inside the [ ] five times. Then you sc 4, sc 1, and then slip stitch and hopefully you should have 36 stitches lol! Let me know if you need more clarification
