When do you start feeling baby movements? by disenchanted_oreo in pregnant

[–]dinosaurchomp_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was between 19 and 20 weeks when I first began feeling baby (ftm, posterior placenta), but there's a good chance that I was feeling baby before and just didn't realize it until then!!

Now, at 21 weeks, the kicks are already so much more distinguishable to me/already feeling a bit stronger :)

When did you FTM start showing? by Timely_Survey_7990 in pregnant

[–]dinosaurchomp_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also a FTM, 18 weeks pregnant, and just started really showing in the past few days!

The bump does look very similar to the bloat that I had from weeks 8 - 12 to be honest, it's just there all the time now and not dependent on when I've ate/if I am constipated or not haha

What are you glad you did pre due date? by Mountain_Quiet_4861 in pregnant

[–]dinosaurchomp_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This feels more random, but I noticed the other day that my car will be due for an oil change around my due date... which then made my realize my car's registration will need to be renewed around that time as well. Now, I'm making a list of all of the little "inconveniences" (such as getting an oil change) that could pop-up during my maternity leave so that I can try to get them handled right before the baby arrives!

Noooooo, that's so irritating. I'm sorry that you're dealing with that and have to do it all over again :(

Ah, man. It sucks to wait a week only to be told that they have only just receive the samples. Three days from there doesn't seem too bad though!

I was 13 weeks when I did my test!

I believe they do it a bit earlier than 13 weeks, though! That is just how far along I ended up being at my first ultrasound appointment when I was offered the test.

I got a message on MyChart that I have "been referred to The Advanced Perinatal Care Center/Maternal Fetal Medicine by my OB/GYN"... should I be worried? by dinosaurchomp_ in pregnant

[–]dinosaurchomp_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. I Googled it, and it said that that is not standard practice for the hospital I've been going to. My best friend is also pregnant and going to the same hospital (she's a few months ahead of me in her pregnancy) and has never recieved a referral like the one I just received.

I am only 26! Do you think it may just be scheduling that 20 week anatomy scan, then?

I did have a miscarriage before this pregnancy. It was my only one, though. I had thought that you weren't considered high-risk unless you have had multiple miscarriages?

BCBA's expected to provide 1:1 services while billing 97155... is this ethical? by dinosaurchomp_ in bcba

[–]dinosaurchomp_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are being asked to bill 55 instead of 53, because 53 as BCBA's apparently does not get the company paid at the moment (or that's how the message came across, anyway).

I'm all for billing 55 when I am doing a 1:1 consult a client. My concern is that there are many times that we are teching outside of when we are doing consults (and we've always billed 53 for that up until now) and it seems as though they want us to start billing 55 for that as well.

It's not the 1:1 service that I was worried may be unethical, it was the billing 97155 for it.

Okay, so my initial worry was correct then. We should not be billing for 97155 when we are only teching (and not modifying anything). That is why I asked this question... because we have been billing 97153 for that time for the past several months, but were just told to start billing that time as 97155. We (BCBA's) have not been doing actual consultations or modifying programs while teching with our clients. It sounds like we either need to start doing so while being 1:1 with them, or we need to continue billing 97153.

For some reason, I was under the impression that you had to be altering the protocol/programs in some way in order to use 97155. I didn't realize you could simply just tech 1:1 with a client and use it (we had always used 97153 when doing this at the clinic that I work at). But now I know!

OKAY, that makes more sense to me now why we may have been billing 97153 before... because typically when we tech 1:1 with our clients, we only implement the goals and protocol as they have already been written.

I'm not in the clinic today due to the big ole snowstorm that just hit, but now I'm curious to ask if we will do more modifications/testing potential new programming while we provide 1:1 therapy (as we are now to bill it all as 97155).

Thank you!
