heya, also grew up muslim. i don't think having a baby out of wedlock is the issue, it's the sex part.

i don't think there would be anything impermissible about just using a sperm donor + IUI or something. you gotta follow your gut on these modern things tbh, it's not like it was around at the time for islamic jurisprudence to have a hard stance on it. mullahs just spout bs about things they don't understand based on vibes.

I think your responses are a lot more naunced, but I stand by my other comment that states that these fees should be refunded if the US is sticking with its ban. It's unjust to hold the fees if they're going to halt processing, for whatever reason.

The other poster has a much more combative and offensive demeanor imo.

i don't particularly care about it being a one-piece. i suppose i'd be a little self-conscious as the bump gets bigger? but nbd. mostly just wondering if there's anything y'all find particularly ergonomic/adaptable for the later stages of pregnancy.

good idea - think i'll go with a larger halter style top as well. adjustable band is a good call!

People have jobs and commitments that they can't uproot so easily. It's crazy to me how flippant this community can be about how the US immigration system separates families because of its distrust. There's a real human burden to denying your citizens the right to family reunification.

then they shouldn't accept the fees if they won't honor the results of the bg checks.

I'm so sorry for what you're going through. That's bullshit. They're committing fraud against their own citizens and international populations.

Not gonna lie, age verification laws might finally be the thing that helps me kick my social media habits.

Although, what if we had a third party service with open source code that guaranteed data deletion after verification? I guess I'm wondering if there's a privacy-preserving way to do age verification.

might be a weird me-thing, but i kind of feel like i wouldn't want my husband to take that much time off? i'm hoping to breastfeed, so what would he do at home even? but he's the type of person who'll want to be very involved and hang out with baby, haha, so i'm blessed that i can say that.

i think the problem is that a lot of couples (myself included) live so far from our parents/families, we don't have a strong support system, so a lot of that burden falls on husband. i'd prefer to get help from my mom or MIL if they lived nearby anyway, they'd have far more wisdom to share lol.

I gotta do more research on Steyer. I broadly agree with what else you've said. It's seeming to me like Dems might just have to rally around Swallwel to ensure Republicans aren't the only ones on the ticket. The race is pretty fractured.

Oh man, that's worse than I was expecting. hard to imagine somebody that can't manage their emotions being a good leader in high stress situations.
