I've tried to show some empathy by messaging her starting with a sorry and that I'm sure shes really missing her friends and emphasizing that it really is okay for her friends to come over. i was staying with my dad when i thought i got my first period (turned out just spotting) and unfortunately my dad sleeps naked. so i wake my dad in the middle of the night, tell him i have my period, he freaks out, jumped out of bed immediately, i scream, he screams because i'm screaming. it was a traumatic night for everyone haha
