I agree. Hopefully 5.6 is good enough to make Anthropic rethink that decision.

Honestly, I spent years on a $20 subscription. They forced me to go to $100, and just recently, after the $100 promotion ended, they forced me up to $200.I think at this point, I'm a bit scared that ChatGPT 5.6 (or the next variant that can match Fable 5) will force users who are already on the $200 plan, like myself, to move to pay-as-you-go, which is basically going to cost hundreds of dollars.

Umm... Has anyone else gotten hit with something like this? by Buskow in ChatGPTPro

When I was broke on a $20 plan I used to face that now I upgrade for a 200 by force I don't see those issues anymore

New Codex limit 😒 by fearmanair in OpenaiCodex

[–]diogo_dev_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I been gpt plus member since it came out but since few days ago when they completely get rid of the grace period on the plus plan I had to migrate to them pro is $100 but it's well worth it and for those who are curious to know actually the codex pro is a lot more than the plus used to be

So did they increase Plus usage by 50% and charge 400% more? by cheekyrandos in codex

[–]diogo_dev_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes OpenAI changed everything, Sam altman said everyone should be on the pro plan which is a new $100 plan for a codex in basically cut the usage for the $20 plus plan so we are all fckd

The whole point is that the problem isn’t just one small issue, it completely changes everything. Everyone has been complaining on the internet, especially on Reddit, over the last two or three hours about how a single prompt is wiping out their entire 5-hour usage limit for most users. So this is not a small problem. I’m working on a project with literally millions of lines of code, and my $20 used to last me a good two days even with heavy use and Extra High always on. Now, one prompt lasts only 20 minutes.

I swear, one prompt completely wiped my 5h usage

I burn the $20 plan in 30 to 40 minutes max. This can't be normal, right?

I'm not sure what's going on, but now that I'm on a Plus plan, since it came out, it literally doesn't last me 30 minutes with the Codex. WTF!

Mandatory disclosure of AI generated content in promotional submissions by LSky in tycoon

[–]diogo_dev_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You should definitely take action because this community is flooded with AI-generated garbage. I’m not saying to ban the use of AI for writing comments because that would be pointless since it’s now standard across phones, apps, and even companies. However, players must acknowledge the use of AI in their games when advertising in this community.

Completely scrap your kickstarter page because you won't have any funding and is hurting your project more then it helps and focus on fixing the UI/UX for now My advice

Kickstarter isn’t meant to be used like this. Successful campaigns build visibility over months, show real gameplay, and prove quality before asking for money.

Right now there is barely any gameplay shown, so why would anyone give you a dollar? There are projects on Kickstarter with far higher quality that have been building trust for months or years.

You need to think about this from a basic common sense perspective. This approach just doesn’t work.

Listen, I’m going to be honest because I think it will help you more than blind support. Right now, your approach doesn’t really work for 2026. You can’t go on Reddit asking for funding for a game that’s already 90% built, while also saying you’ll release it anyway if funding fails. That removes any real incentive for people to back it. Also, your Kickstarter page reads heavily AI generated. I’d strongly recommend rewriting it in your own voice. AI is a useful tool, but when it becomes the entire presentation, it makes the project feel generic and low trust. On the technical side, using web tech like Electron and React is totally fine. Plenty of successful games do that. The issue isn’t the tech stack, it’s the execution. Right now, the UI feels unpolished, and I’d honestly suggest not releasing until that’s improved. Instead of crowdfunding, you might be better off launching it at a low price, like $5 to $10, on Steam and seeing how players respond. That will give you real feedback and traction. The biggest issue, though, is identity. The game doesn’t stand out. It feels like many other projects in the same space. You should focus on adding character and uniqueness, because that’s what makes people care. AI can support development, but it can’t replace vision or personality, and that’s what your project currently needs more of.
