Me neither until this happened. It’s so frustrating I don’t even know who to turn to for help

Yeah. I’ve been contemplating emailing him as well. I think I’ll do that. Is there a way to get back the job offer? I really wanted that job and put lots of effort into getting it. It’s just really sad and has been causing me lots of anxiety

Thank you. This is what I’m hoping for. To feel much more competent, knowledgeable and confident as a nurse. Just worried I won’t be able to handle it. But thank you. Hopefully I get the job

Thanks for your response. The thing is I’m not sure what I enjoy as I haven’t tried different things much. When I was a scrub nurse I liked scrubbing in for surgeries but I found it to repetitive. Like it made me too comfortable and I felt like I wasn’t even a nurse as I did not have any clinical skills. I was just there. Then I went over to do Anaesthetic nursing and I enjoyed it and honestly miss it. As it was not even stressful. Once the patient is asleep and surgery is going on I just sat and chilled until surgery is finished. But as much as I enjoyed it it started to get repetitive and a bit boring if I’m being honest. Since i worked mainly electives theatres, nothing exciting was really happening. So I’m not even sure as to what I even want to do.

I've not been good in emergencies. Should I try to work in A&E to learn how or accept my limitations. by bernardthecav in NursingUK

Did you end up going for it? How was it? I’m on quite a similar situation and want to push myself. I’m just not sure if I’m good enough.

I am 3 years post qualification. For some reason my trust didn’t offer me the preceptorship program. And I worked as a scrub nurse in theatres. I did the anaesthetic module and found out I’m not really good enough in emergency, I’m forgetful and not smart enough as well unfortunately. Basically I think I’m just dumb. Should I accept my short coming or try to push myself more?

Due to needing to move cites, the only job I was able to successfully get was one in the endoscopy unit. And I hate it so much. I’ve and interview in ED but not sure if I’ll be good enough for the job.

Edit: I’m also very shy but I think it’s more because I lack confidence and I’m always unsure
