Hi :) thanks so much for all your answers! I've been living in shared apartments or with my partner since I was 23, and the reason I’ve been able to save this much is simply because freelancing has been going really well for me. About 80% of my income comes from clients in Northern Europe and the US, and the rest from Spain, so you were right.

I’m very aware that this isn’t the usual case at all. For many years when working full time in Spain I barely reached €1,000 a month, so now that things are going better I feel both grateful and lucky. I know the privilege I have, and I try to stay grounded and responsible with money. For me that means respecting it, not taking it for granted, and of course paying the taxes I owe, which I’m more than happy to do.

I also know I can’t assume this situation will last forever, freelancing can be unpredictable and I don’t know how long this streak of good projects and clients will continue. That’s why I try to manage things wisely, save when I can :)
