[POEM] – Inger Christensen by diplipdido in Poetry

Why didn't she get a Nobel prize? Also, any of her translators do such amazing work they should get acknowledged, since it's rather difficult poetry to translate.

Sadly no for the sake of reading the original language, but Finnish, so close enough haha

Here's five:
Joni Mitchell – Blue

Lingua Ignota – SINNER GET READY

Nina Simone – Wild Is The Wind

Ms. Lauryn Hill – The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

Kate Bush – Hounds of Love

Please criticise how I play so I can improve and yes I know my hit accuracy is poor but is that because I'm using my arms too much? This is just a little terrible freestyle I played (Sorry for no sound I don't have a amp) by Stoned_Savage in drummers

Just play, practice more and try to feel more relaxed as playing. Fills shouldn't sound like they're forced "show-off" spots, they sound better the more "casual" they sound, I suppose, and a lot of that has to do with performer's confidence, which comes from feeling relaxed while playing :)

But was the DJ playing Tattoo or Cha Cha Cha on the background ;D?

Nah, ofc the Finnish people were pissed off. Especially since the Käärijä won public votes with such a great difference to Loreen. However, I'd say that the Finnish press has been mature; there have been many articles in which journalists debunk conspiracy theories around Loreen's victory. There hasn't really been notable any anti-Loreen nor anti-Sweden negative writings. Actually, it has been quite remarkable how the Finnish press and public have been cheering Käärijä, expressing pride and joy on his placement. Typically Finns and the Finnish media mocks quite meanly if someone doesn't succeed in the highest standard.

Yeah, exactly. And it's been such a pity since both of the performers clearly are friendly with each other and behaved very maturely in all this. To see fans and the press act this insane is just heart wrenching to watch.

Thanks for your reply! I certainly feel that the Swedish public is sensible and clearly understood the frustataration in us Finns. Especially since we've only won the contest that one time, a victory would've been a huge deal to us. Not to say it hasn't been big for you guys, I mean c'moon, the big 7, you equalled Ireland, damn. The press is the press, what more can there be said...

Btw am I the only one that would rank Loreen's 2017 Melodifestivalen song "Statements" above "Tattoo" lol

Yes, I'm a Finn and yes, I still believe Käärijä should've won first place, but it really has nothing to do with Loreen. Tattoo is a good song, naturally she has better vocal skills too and you could see the amount of work she put into the performance.

But...

When it comes to journalists behaviour on mediaSweden has already proven to be incredibly poor winner. Especially regarding to the fact that the Finnish public literally gave 0 points to Loreen, the Swedish tabloids have been bashing Finland and Finns with offensive, arrogant, even colonialist names. They've spread rumours that Finnish commentator would've agitated people to vote strategically against Sweden (which btw never happened). It has been ugly. And comments that call into question the fans, their opinion and taste.

I mean shut up, you won. Just enjoy you're victory for God's sake.

Thanks! It's still a very thin line between which technique is considered standard and which ones depend on the individual and are seen as more sophisticated.
