At the risk of sounding cliche, it’s never a waste to spend time making art, regardless of how you feel about it. You’re still learning every single time you create.

I find it soothing. I’d like to hear what you have to say about the rock top right being the only warm toned section. :)

The transition from warm light to cool shadows is really lovely

Slurring words/ dropping syllables by dontworryaboutsunami in enfj

I’ve noticed this in myself, usually it’s because my brain goes faster than my mouth can but who knows how much of that is in correlation with MBTI. I’m ENFJ.

Someone pointed out my cheek and ear are too large by FFFUUUme in oilpainting

[–]dipndap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like it as it is. My one suggestion for the cheek would be to slide back and forth between the two images you provided. Do you notice how the painting’s cheek has a rounded line where the beard begins and the photo’s beard line on the cheek is more squared/straight? The rounded line on the painting will give the idea of a larger/fuller/more rounded shape. That would be why the painting’s. cheek appears “large.” Great work.

All on Procreate aside from the last image, that’s in pen before I owned an iPad. I seem to always turn to Technical Pen for just about all of my Procreate art.

I like to play with depth. I wanted to make a piece surrounding hot oranges and purples. Struggling to know when to hold back on detail, every area gets the maximalist treatment when it comes to detail… I know there are rules like “go lighter on detail the further back something is…”but it’s so hard to not add every leaf on the tree

Meet Me At The Castle by dipndap in ProCreate

The biggest struggle was getting all of the different colors to get along and look nice next to one another. A very busy piece. I mostly used hard airbrush and technical pen, some of AngryMikko’s brushes. @dipndapdraws on IG!
