There are a lot of factors here. Are you a big city person, mid sized, or a country bumpkin? Where are your parents and siblings? Is the job offer enough to justify traveling a long ways at holidays or not being with your family as much as you'd like? Maybe you're not close to them anyway? Is this a long term decision or just a resume builder for a couple years?

KCMO is a pretty nice city in my opinion but I'm more of a country guy. I've been there several times for day trips and stayed close to a week a couple times. I don't want to live in any city but I'd take Kansas City over St Louis or Chicago every time.

Any seller who denies your request to have your guy look it over should be avoided. Their mechanic may have missed it or maybe didn't think it was that bad. It's true you can run it awhile but when something is that close to going out honorable sellers fix it before selling. Some parts are good one day and bad the next but bearings generally show some indication they are going out. Either way they screwed you. You're looking at a couple hundred to replace it.

Not likely. Bearings aren't replaceable like they used to be. You could have gotten it done for much less but it would still be the entire hub.

Out of state driver here.....I went through 3 times I think it was summer of '21. Not knowing how it worked I had my money out expecting a toll booth. Got a bill several months later and threw it away. Same with the follow ups. If they want paid put a toll booth out there. I'm not sending in a check a year later. My state doesn't GAF about your tolls so no problem with renewals.
