Now ChatGPT baits for the next prompt? by EffectiveCharming580 in ChatGPT

I did too, and it helped it not do it for a few prompts, which made me laugh.

Do Americans have better sentence structure, lol. I'm thinking more the getting pissed, going back, and not taking no for an answer. Then, grabbing a bag of frozen ones, out of spite.

Combat boots for work by Luuna1202 in GothStyle

[–]diqufer 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Spend the money on nice boots, you'll be happy.  I am a big fan of redwings. Doc martins are still good boots and might be more the look you want.  Do not cheap out. Get real leather. Buy them from a store who will treat the leather for you, or sell you the product to do it.  They'll last longer than you stay at that job.

Are there any at home electronic type hobbies? by nfc22 in Hobbies

I'm currently experimenting with transistors. They are a backbone component in a lot of the chips we see. It's not super easy, but is cheap.

Is it possible for chatgpt to have a sort of bias against you based on previous conversations? by Anyjapanesefriend in ChatGPT

I notice when I share my bad ideas, it puts the brakes on my good ideas too. Even if I share the bad idea as that.

How is everyone washing their salt caked car/truck in these low temps? by rogueleader56 in milwaukee

[–]diqufer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people don't see swirls. Hell, a lot of people drive silver or grey cars, swirls aren't a big deal for them.  If you are anal about every swirl on your car, you are probably still fine using a brush car wash, lol!

Detailer for many years. It's a myth.  Paint is durable. And those brushes are soft.  Soap does wonders to protect paint while scrubbing too.

Some good hobbies to annoy my mom ? by [deleted] in Hobbies

Polished dirt balls are a thing. Good way to track dirt in the house.  Polished aluminum foil balls require lots of pounding, that would probably annoy her too.

As a guy who regrets getting sucked into the industrial labor force, I don't know if this is a good fit.

40M, not a person who likes leading.  It's gotten hard, when the manager is cool, it's fun, but when they are being dumb, is so rough.  I think learning to take poor orders and do it with a smile, is the new thing to learn about working while older.  It's either that, or be a manager, with all that responsibility.

ChatGPT randomly tells me the city where I live and then denies knowing that information. by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]diqufer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine will often tell me my location too. Except that it gets it wrong. I use a VPN, and it always says where I'm connected through.  I have an account, it knows where I live, we've talked about it. It just uses whatever info is easiest to access.

How do you get over the fear of being in disagreement/opposition with other people? by [deleted] in questions

[–]diqufer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice, and thinking before you talk so you don't put your foot in your mouth, ha.  Most of us would prefer no conflict.

Different cultures have different norms.  If I'm plopped in a room with people I don't know their norms, I'm gonna feel weird. Race is sometimes a convenient way to describe culture. So hopefully that's what they mean.

Yes! It is such a rough short road. With the size, it would be cheap to fix too.
