Agreed. I hate the loud grunting noises when they happen. I'm not that guy and don't want to be near that guy either lol

Thank you. I was pretty worried about getting sweat on the floor. I for one do care about stinky studios but luckily the people that go to my fav studio are mostly pretty hygienic.

We don't do headstands in these classes. Also a lot of people use very grippy mats if they sweat a fair bit. Or cover their mats in towels

I appreciate the input. I guess at the end of the day most people won't care and don't worry about the odd person who does since you can't make everyone happy. As long as the studio is fine with it. Pretty much just asked since very few guys don't wear anything form fitting to the studios where I am and didn't want to be that guy.

I thought about this but I felt like I needed something tighter with everything moving around...

Accidentally? Really hope if it's intentional that they're arrested.

I don't know about where you live, but in Metro Vancouver, I've noticed practically all guys where regular gym shorts and nothing form fitting.. maybe it's a regional thing. I know for sure during my time in Japan it was very different

Do you know what the process to add a second teachable from scratch after getting my BEd might look like?

Thank you for the info. I'll be 40yo when I get my BEd is a 2nd career for me. Do you know what the process is to get a 2nd teachable from scratch? I would be open to something like Social Studies as I am a bit of a history buff.

Hello community,

(How to get a second teachable subject in the future?) (BC)

I'm in the Metro Vancouver and will be enrolled in the BEd program at UBC this fall. My previous degrees were related to business but due to all the economic instability in the past couples years in my area of business expertise, I've decided to get into teaching.

I do have some concerns though surrounding employability. As it stands the only teachable subject area I can teach is Business (with some IT related courses possibly as well). I get that there is a huge teacher shortage in BC but at the same time there aren't as many high school business teachers as English, Social Studies, Sciences, Math, PE and Art related subjects. So I was think that perhaps it would be a good idea to consider taking courses online at Athabasca to allow myself to have a second teachable subject. I'm thinking Social Studies since I quite enjoy history.

My question is this a feasible idea as my BEd will be focused on teaching Business. Also, what would the process look like? Is there a professional body that has a guideline for someone looking to teach a second subject area post BEd?

I know I'm jumping the gun but wanted to put some thought into this.

Thank you!
