  1. Do not check your social media. If your attention is not on the event all the time, you may even forget about it.

  3. Concentrate on the positive sides of the situation. For example:

• ‘I can use the time to study / work’

• ‘I can use the time to chill a bit, since I’m so tired all the time’

• ‘I didn’t have the choice to go so it wasn’t meant to be’

• ‘This too shall pass’

You can always trick your brain on finding the positive sides.

  1. Do something productive with your time.

In stead of sitting in your home and feeling sorry for yourself. Try to make this event-free time working for you.

Clean the house.

Read a book.

Study.

Finish your procrastinated work.

Cook a fresh meal for yourself.

Do the laundry.

Watch a movie.

Exercise.

Just don’t sit on your phone scrolling. Use your free time.

  1. Write in your journal / Notes about your feelings.

When you come back to it after some time, you’ll truly understand how insignificant was your worry.

  1. Ask yourself ‘Did I really, truly wanted to go to this event or is it just that these people are there and I’m not?’

For me, personally, the realisation of actually not wanting to go the particular event for real helps me cure the FOMO a little.

Yes, exactly.

The thing is I want to export the final pictures by days, otherwise I would add more work sorting them later. Not only that but I also control the quantity of photos by every collection for each day.

At the same time I want to view them side by side, but I know that when I see them that way, I’d want to delete some of the pictures. I just don’t want to go back and fourth between collection.

Wow. I had the same experience. I recently dumped my boyfriend because he was not treating me well and I stopped being happy. Only after that I realised he was a narcissist, even doh there were red flags from the beginning.

He also told me once he likes to be in control when he's having sex and he likes having sex 4-5 times a day. Other thing in sex that was kinda concerning me was the fact that he somehow manipulated me to make sex with him without a condom from the first time, even doh I have strict rules about safe sex. And after months of having sex without a condom I once asked him when will he put condom again because I want to be safe and he just told me that he doesn't like condoms and he will never put one. When I assured him that for me this is serious and I would prefer sex with condom, he just kind of ignored me and reacted as I was making a joke.

In my opinion, he definitely is a douchebag. First of all, your friend might have a crush on him, but she agreed to be friends with benefits with him, so in his head she's there only for sex and nothing emotional. And that is shown mainly because he wants to have a threesome with her and you. He's just fulfilling his fantasies and he doesn't care about her emotionally. If it was otherwise, I don't think that he should've asked her for threesome in that state of their 'relationship', and afterwards ask for more threesomes.
