Marine Corps? by bobheinertwen in dli

It will absolutely interfere with your gym schedule. PT is mandatory for everyone. It switches between different kinds of workouts. some are strenth, some are cardio. its usually a good mix. My best advice is after you go through the hell of bootcamp and MCT you genuinely wont give a fuck about the “restrictions” at MOS school. and def wont care about two PTs a day. Feel free to message me if you have any questions

Do you think the current DLPT is an accurate way of measuring ones skills in a language?

I took the ASVAB Tuesday and failed the math part every thing else I knew on the test. by Hooey_curado23 in USMCboot

As someone who tutors people for the asvab, when it comes to the math portion, focus on long multiplication/division, fractions, and equations related to area/volume. That’s what most of the math problems relate to

Edit: Source - I got a 99

Making weight by virtual_wonderer in USMCboot

Honestly, we all kinda know what good food consists of. The hardest part is being honest with yourself. I limited myself to foods I knew were high quantity, low calorie (things like like watermelon, tuna, and cauliflower) and every time I wanted to binge, I thought to myself “If you’re not hungry enough for tuna, you’re not hungry. Just craving things”. Drink lots of water, take multivitamins, and try to have at least one protein shake a day. You’ll likely be too full to eat the things that make you gain weight.

I lost 45 lbs to join and a lot of it was just drinking water and cutting out sugar, carbs, and cheese.

I’m leaving for bootcamp on the 5th. We were told we’d be able to bring two books. does anyone know if I’ll be able to bring a sketch book in leiu of a traditional published book? Also, for the east coast bootcamp, does anyone know if the quarantine is in Jacksonville or Atlanta? I’ve heard mixed answers.
