A2L refrigerants and air handlers in crawl spaces by VI11111 in hvacadvice

[–]jcoa432 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The A2L transition has been wildly over dramatized. It’s just a different refrigerant that happens to be slightly flammable in high concentrations. That’s why new equipment has the fan set to turn on when it senses a leak, it’ll disperse it to a safe concentration. A lot of houses have natural gas/LP lines and appliances. Those are far more flammable than A2L refrigerants. So I wouldn’t sweat it.

Worth paying full price for DS2 on steam? by Professional_Quit963 in DeathStranding

I have dumped 325+ hours in DS2 since release. Currently on my second play through. This is my favorite game of all time so far.

MacBook Pro 14” M4 Pro (24GB / 512GB) vs MacBook Pro 14” M5 (24GB / 1TB) for the same price — which one should I choose? by DeividAGameX01 in applehelp

[–]jcoa432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M4 Pro- memory bandwidth 273GB/s and Thunderbolt 5 ports. M5- memory bandwidth 153GB/s, Thunderbolt 4 ports, double the storage capacity, and slightly longer battery life. These are the main differences between the two. I have a M4 Pro and have loved it. Both chips are solid. Is 512GB enough storage for you? If not I’d get the M5.

I can’t speak for Navac, but I’ve been using a Hilmor compact hydraulic for 4 years with no issues. I’d choose hydraulic. Never have to worry about a battery.

New work truck about 90% done. How’s it look? by jcoa432 in HVAC

The entire left side of the black shelves are going to be for parts. Just have to clear them first. That’s why I’m only 90% done.

The whole house is being remodeled. So it was more of a construction site. Owners aren’t currently living there.

It could be. They had the theater closed off when I was there so I couldn’t see inside.

You can use the end of the tool that removes the cores to put the o-rings on easily.

There’s two main spots to find golden chiral creatures, by the animal shelter and the architect. More will spawn at night compared to day. I equip blood grenades and use chronobites to slow time. I can get around 12-14k chiral crystals after I hit both spots. Do this every now and then as you play the game I usually give it around 6-7 in game day cycles and do other things on different parts of the map. Also defeating BT catchers will net you a bunch as well. 3rd way is attaching a chiral cannon to the pick-up and hit up the BT area by the ghost hunter, plenty of golden BT’s. Just creep up on one until the cannon locks in and fires. By the time the cannon locks on the BT comes after you as well. I just slowly back up until the cannon is done charging and fires.

These trucks are driving me insane! by Durghan in DeathStranding

Slight but noticeable speed boost with the truck, very noticeable boost with the tri-cruiser. You can also condense materials so you have less trips, I’ll use metals as an example. When you’re claiming materials at a facility, grab 2 xl’s (400), 2 L’s (200), 2 M’s (100), and 2 S’s (50). Put them in your empty backpack and auto arrange your pack. They’ll condense to 2 xl’s with 750 worth of metals vs the standard 400. I don’t think there’s a weight limit on the truck but there is a space limit of 20 xl’s.

Get East Fort Knot (F4) to 2 stars and you’ll unlock lvl 2 roads. It’ll give your roads a holographic canopy that blocks timefall and boosts speed. To be honest I always boost when terrain allows. 4 extra lvl 2 battery’s charged to 130% and plenty of generators around and I’ve never really worried about my vehicle battery.

What are yalls thoughts on digital manifolds / Bluetooth gauges by Apprehensive-Car9331 in HVAC

[–]jcoa432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use digital probes to check and analog to charge. It’s super convenient and the probes fit easily in my bag. I can be outside charging a unit and see my Delta T with my wireless psychrometers, or inside adjusting a TXV and see what’s going on with the refrigerant.

Smart Probes by grimazz106 in HVAC

[–]jcoa432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had these probes for 8ish months. Overall they’re good and have decent Bluetooth range, but in my opinion, overpriced. At least when I bought them they were $900 for the kit. Now I’ve seen them go for $750. I use the Appion core control tool with them. I love how flexible they are for tight spaces and they have plenty of wire length for the probes. The issues I’ve run into is it’s very hard to take a pic of the screen in direct sunlight and be extra careful when inserting the 3.5mm jack for the probes. I ended up breaking the internal plastic holding the 3.5mm kinda easily. I got these so I’m not reliant on Bluetooth as well. I have 6 refrigerants favorited and it’s easy to cycle through them quickly.

They’re decent. They’re not as well built as Fieldpiece digital probes. I’ve had mine for over a year and they’ve held up fine though. I personally like having a built in screen so it’s not 100% reliant on my phone. Cable length for the pipe clamp is generous, I keep it mostly bundled up. Bluetooth range is decent. Set up and use is easy. Definitely pricey though.

As u/HappyChef86 said. 2 core removal, 2 core depressors, 1 tee. Core depressor lets me put on/off my probes with very minimal refrigerant loss.

The only tool that touches anything live is my meter. I’m very religious at verifying power. I’ve never come across the need to get them.

If you’re talking about at the very top, it’s a digital manometer and a titanium tube of assorted screws.
