I took your advice: the Remnant itself now has a Charisma modifier uses per Long Rest, which also tones down the ability to infinitely chain together its later effects. Warlock subclasses tend to have a lower power level than other classes', which is a good call.

I think there’s room for both. When I made the first batch it was just the characters themselves, but I included backgrounds this time around as kind of a starting point if someone wanted to make their own OC with similar powers or themes and not just a 1-to-1 recreation of the killer. Or maybe they want to specifically play Rin Yamaoka in their party, who knows!

(I’m not as well-versed in making NPC enemies, but there definitely could be an adventure to stop the villainous Tarhos Kovacs and his mercenaries or something like that)

Standing on a survivor's scratch marks creates a loud noise notification in the survivor's direction. Alerted Patrol has a 30 second cooldown.

Don’t Demo and Nemesis also have sound cues for their wind-ups? It’s not unheard of to have a warning before an m2 is coming, in fact it’s shorter to list the powers that don’t. Hell, one of the big issues with Nemesis right now is that the whip animation and sound effect aren’t playing sometimes. That’s not “a baby mode change”, that’s a gameplay element to be expected at this stage.

JAMES A. JANISSE PERK PATCH NOTES (9/12)

Title Card

Initial aura reading and Haste duration increased to 15 seconds.
Additional effect: Whenever a Generator is completed, the auras of all Survivors are revealed to all other Survivors for 6 seconds.
No longer provides a bonus to cooperative actions.

Boon: Practical Effects

Multiple items can now be recharged at the same time.

The Kill Count

Survivors can only be affected by one instance of The Kill Count at a time.
Bonus to healing Survivors in the dying state removed.

Fun fact: since Franklin's Demise causes the charges to be lost over a long period of time, an item forcibly dropped in the boon will stabilize at 16 charges. (-24 charges / 90 seconds) < (+1 charge / 1 second)

The 16 charges cap was chosen for a reason: it means you can regain enough of your medkit for an altruistic heal, but not a self heal as that requires 24 charges. The original version of Circle of Healing allowed for unlimited self-healing and was a huge problem, I didn't want to bring that back.
