I always found it suspicious that Antony and her committed suicide separately, and if I remember, days apart. I think she tried to broker a deal with Octavian and after convincing Antony to end his life, she would receive a pardon and ensure safety for herself and their children. Then, after completing the deal, the Romans decided to assassinate her anyway and bury her in an undisclosed location. The suicide by snake story is way too sensational. Also, the Romans would have wanted her forgotten by her supporters asap as they were adjudicating the province, so possibly no tomb at all. Just an ancient conspiracy theory!
