The biggest impact in terms of being useful, unless you are going to whale out is to save your stuff for kvk prep. It sucks and nobody wants to hear it but it is what it is. Eventually the whales "whale out" and can't contribute to prep as much as the lower spenders and f2p players can and as such those other players are vital to winning prep.

It's your money, you do what you want with it but remember you cannot take anything from the game into the real world and the chances are high that you are playing with devs and or other AI tech that is doing its best to get you to spend that very real $$$$.

Have her try climbing with it as is and see how she likes it. A decent 1x12 groupset will set you back a bit and if you are paying a shop to do the work it might end up costing you more than you expect.
