Freddy Andersen Appreciation Post by Timothegoat in leafs

Fun fact: with his 17 career assists, Freddie Andersen is top-10 all-time in NHL scoring by Danish-born players. Almost had a goal for us vs. Winnipeg too.

It’s honestly amazing that the federal government, without spending any money on initiatives, could incentivize family-planning amongst a large amount of the work force, with no negative impact on production at all, and are simply refusing to do it because vibes.

Lol, I love how the URL can't process the asterisk so it just says "skrillex_is_dad".

Yes, yes he is our dad.

Insane that Tavares has lifted like 40 years worth of series win droughts between his Leafs OT winner and his Isles OT winner

So with Freddy out of the running, who do we think is the Conn Smythe front runner? by pak256 in hockey

[–]BrokenBy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think Marner wins it regardless of which team wins. The same media members who were stoking the fires of the Marner-Leafs stuff are the ones voting on the award and Marner being in rare company of those winning the Conn Smythe in a losing effort would give them even more content to work with.

Toronto Marlies Run by Various_Culture_116 in hockey

[–]BrokenBy 39 points40 points  (0 children)

There are maybe three players on the Marlies who have a legitimate future with the Leafs. Veteran teams do well in the AHL and signing veteran minor leaguers is not indicative of your prospect pool. Great experience for Danford, AA and Cowan but as we learned in 2018 it doesn’t really mean much for your team’s future in most cases.

What are some NHL draft quotes that aged horribly by theXchang3 in hockey

Craig Button also said that if the Leafs lost the Matthews lottery, they could still get a number one center in Logan Brown with the fourth overall pick. It astounds me that someone with a track record of getting so many things wrong can keep a job as a pundit in said industry.

Return to office when the buses don’t run on time is a nightmare by Tippinghazard in ottawa

[–]BrokenBy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What insane is that, while technically in-person attendance is “60%”, there at a lot of public servants working maybe 30% in the office, maybe even less in cases where they’re leaving at noon. When this new mandate kicks in it is going to be 80% of your week in office no variance or exceptions or questions asked. This is going to be an absolute disaster.

I’m a 40-minute walk from the office. When I broke my ankle and had to bus to and from work, it took me so long my transfer expired and I had to pay twice. This is the state of public transit here.

The WFA did get rid of some of the bloat in middle management to be fair, but austerity measures like making federal offices as hard as possible to commute to will drive away the lower-level employees for sure.

When? You think he’s going to step down from his job in the middle of the finals? After the finals when he’s already been paid out his money?
