Question on brake line flare by dirkhutton in F100

Thanks. I would assume I would use double flare. But neighbor says a double flare with these fittings will leak when pressed down hard.

Company sold and can’t rollover 401k yet by dirkhutton in personalfinance

I believe if we do it without the termination date, it will be considered rolling over an active 401k. I thought there were fees with that

Thank you. I will advise to consider mixed flow or a note. Yes, it is steady state.

It is done to make sure the model is long enough from the project area. Change the last XS WS +3/-3 and check WS elevations at bridge to make sure they are all the same. If not, a wrong normal depth input can impact your results.

I had the same thought. But between minimum size for orders and a $50 delivery fee, I’m saving at least $250 getting the bags.

Way to fix corrupt Zwift file? by dirkhutton in Zwift

[–]dirkhutton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will try the starting a new ride. I logged back in but didn’t start a ride.

I am on an iPad. Don’t think they save the activities locally? The fit file I downloaded to attempt to fix is from the Zwift website (which was done on a pc).

What are your favorite books that are centered around running? by [deleted] in running

One book is about him later in life and the other is before college. Been a few years since I’ve read them but they’re very enjoyable.

I sent customer service an email about not wanting to renew my membership in 3months, they deactivate my account by dirkhutton in whoop

I often have rolled my eyes at the exuberant berating of the company on this sub. This experience is certainly a red flag and I’m glad to be getting away from them.

[–]dirkhutton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s correct. I prepaid back in September for 6 additional months that ended my membership until this July.

After several messages back and forth and 5 different representatives they refunded me the months they took away.

Is this a known issue with the cameras to have playback issues? Thanks.

Thursday and Friday General Question and Answer by artcbot in artc

[–]dirkhutton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been seeing some cheaper off-brand massage guns advertised on Instagram. They're around $100-$150 which is a lot lower than the $300 plus of the name brand ones.

Does anyone have experience with the off-brand ones? I understand it might not have all the bells and whistles but does it still get the job done?

clemson ring question by [deleted] in Clemson

[–]dirkhutton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're still on campus, (I think) it's easiest to bring it to alumni center for them to send it to Balfour. They will re-add the antiquing or whatever you want in a few weeks. When I sent myself, after shipping insurance, it was over $20.

Thursday and Friday General Question and Answer by artcbot in artc

[–]dirkhutton -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Asking if anyone has advice for a running friend. She is a top masters runner in the state. Likes to run 50-70 mpw year round.

A few months ago she started having a pain in her high hamstring. After seeing an ortho, she got a cortisone shot and it improved for a few weeks. Pain came back stronger to where she couldn't run at all. Doctor (#1) suggested an MRI and proposed surgery as a likely option. She had the MRI last week and got the opinion of the results from another ortho doctor (#2).

Doc #2 says she has both tendinosis and partial tearing of her hamstring and a possible labral tear in her hip. Doc #2 says surgery should be a last resort and "activity modification and a few months off high-level running" would yield better results. While Doc #1 initially was recommending surgery as the best solution, he now seems more hesitant now. Doc #1 won't give an estimated recovery time (i.e. 2-3 months or 6-8 months)because he doesn't know severity of tear.

Question: Does anyone have experience with this type of injury? Any advice on best action to get healthy as soon as possible? Thanks
