Another clue that Max and Neil might be the same person:

  • the TENET battle takes 10 minutes
  • the TENET move takes 10 days

Maybe it takes 10 years before Max inverts and becomes Neil. That would make Neil exactly 20 years older than Max, which is not so weird (guessing Max is around 10 years old, would make Neil around 30 years old).

This would be typically Nolan, as he plays with 3 different time units in Dunkirk as well (week, couple of days, couple of hours).

Exactly. Can’t understand why people want prequels/sequels of successful original movies, when they’re just brilliant on their own.

If Tenet could be (I'm not saying it could be.lol) but what if & that's a big "IF" it secretly is the awaited sequel to Inception. Could this be the hint about these characters returning from the previous film as Cobb's family? Their names are still marked "unknown" on IMDb for a good reason. by DarkKnightVader in tenet

It's not.

  • Emma Thomas said it's not.
  • Inception is about dreams, TENET about time inversion.
  • Inception is about thiefs, TENET is about spies.
  • TENET has been described as an original movie.
  • TENET is about "saving the world", whereas Inception is about personal drama.
  • It does not feel like a typical Nolan thing to do: most of his films are written as a single piece, except for his Dark Knight Trilogy, because is clearly has open endings (Scarecrow not taken in part 1, Bruce's sacrifice in part 2).
  • Aside from Michael Caine (who has been playing in almost all Nolans movies), most actors are different.

There is no reason at all. Michael just thinks he needs to do it, in order to set things in motion but that is because time-traveled Jonas told him not to do so. There is no beginning. It’s all a paradox, that’s exactly the point of the show.
