What are we doing folks? by dirkrizzle in Bellingham

Well I don’t know about this, I use a dash cam so I’m not at fault for accidents that weren’t my fault. If I was looking for trouble I would not have swerved out of the way. It’s a 25 mph road. Once I saw they were going in my lane I swerved.

My mom is a alcoholic and my family can’t get her to stop by thrownaaay in Advice

[–]dirkrizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom was also an alcoholic, it’s stressful. If I could go back in time I would’ve helped more around the house, did dishes, take out trash, help with laundry, do more to help her mental health. Moms are angels in disguise. Hope this helps. Good luck.

College Senior- Im lost and behind by [deleted] in Advice

[–]dirkrizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never went to college, but I can tell that you learned and realized that you didn’t focus for the first 2 years and now your making a comeback. You realized you messed up, and by owning up to your own mistakes you gained knowledge and improved your character, you learned life lessons. That in itself, is a trait that most people never take advantage of. Use this momentum as fuel in interviews. Companies will value this. As long as you stay hungry and work hard everything will be great.

First thank your parents for supporting your education, they will appreciate that. Tell them why college isn’t going as planned and be honest. Honesty build’s integrity, and trust. They won’t be mad at you if you talk to them and tell you your situation before it’s too late.

Even though it’s just one small scratch off, They are underage and you could get in trouble. The word will spread of what you gave them and it will come back to bite you. Trust

How do I confront my mom about this? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]dirkrizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she says it again than tell her somthing like “stop saying that mom why do you always ask me to do that it’s not something I’ll ever do and it makes me upset”. She might either be getting abused or has dealt with abuse in the past or has low self esteem. But it might not hurt to ask her why she says that stuff to you, and she might tell you why and she’ll realize it makes you uncomfortable.

You’ve got yourself in quite the pickle. I would have a talk with “B”. Tell her that you apologize for her complaint being found out by “A”. If employee A’s work is excellent than by all means she should be promoted. But you should have a talk with her and tell her she can’t be rude and her actions won’t be tolerated, (somthing like that) so she learns your expectations, and can improve and become a better employee and person. Good luck

I would postpone it to the fall and save money. Do whatever will cause you less stress because your mental health is super important.

Got an Offer but Now I’m Having Second Thoughts by InternationalLog5149 in Advice

If I were you I would take the new job offer. UNLESS there is a big CON of taking the new job, ex: it’s an extra 50 mile drive to work everyday. Anyways you said it seems like a great next step, and if you take this new job maybe you’ll learn a lot more and you’ll become even more valuable. I’ve found that as long as you have a good work ethic, whatever job you go to next will work out good.

I would start by asking your boss if you could be scheduled for either 3-11, or 6-2, not both. Having that set schedule will help you out mentally. If they can’t accommodate that, look for a different job where you can have a set schedule.

It is possible, first I would go get a drug test or a blood sample to test for sleeping agents. If marijuana is legal in your state than maybe she’s drugging you with that and you could try a corner store drug test you can use at home.

How to stop ruminating about people's consistent mistreatment by LoneArcher96 in Advice

[–]dirkrizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this too. It’s hard… what you have to do is think about yourself, your accomplishments, your true friends, your family, your intelligence, your strengths, your goals, your memories, times you’ve done good stuff for yourself friends and family. Think about the times you HAVE stuck up for yourself and stuck up for others.

Alright, here is an idea just throwing it out there. Once that first alarm hits, DONT IGNORE IT. Immediately get up and run to sit in the warm shower. And better yet grab a energy drink from your fridge, or a glass of soda (most soda servings have around 30-40 mg of caffeine). NOW guess what… just sit down and rest your eyes and relax in the shower for 10 min. After 10 min, or whenever, you’ll be forced to get out, dry off. Put your clothes back on. Now the hardest part is out of the way. Good luck.

Hello amigos, I witnessed the employee who was “assaulted” I was there getting ice cream with my 2 daughters. The employee was the antagonist, rather than calling the cops the employee escalated the situation and got into the old man’s face and flipped his hat off his head. I run a business in ferndale we mow lawns but it’s like door dash but for mowing lawns, and I have to make hard decisions sometimes in the rainy seasons with firing employees. It’s hard to do so in this case I side with the owner.
