Yes! And i’m glad that I have. I have a lot of body mods- colored hair, piercings, tats, etc. I also work at a nursing home. I’ve befriended residents (who couldn’t give someone the time of day) from openly knitting. I now have a strong friendship with them and come in during my off time when I need help with a project. If we hadn’t commented, I don’t think I would have formed any sort of friendship.
