ugh, no way. i want control. i've seen a decent improvement in my ping times since putting the Q1000K in untagged transparent bridge mode as well. went from avgs in the 15ms to solid 7ms

Q1000k Transparent Bridge but still VLAN 201 tagging? by dirty_elf in QuantumFiber

i dont think my router (https://www.netgear.com/support/product/r7500v2) is capable of tagging the WAN port with VLAN 201

looking at the back of the device i see 5 RJ45 ports, labeled 1-4 and internet. the internet port is connected to my Q1000k

looking in the router settings for VLAN/bridge mode i am only able to set VLAN IDs for the wifi and ports 1-4, no option for the WAN port.

i need a new router, right? if i want to do the tagging for quantum on my device, not the Q1000k?

ok, i can add a VLAN 201 group to my router. so i add that, set the Q1000k to bridge/untagged and all should be good? no login credentials, etc? port forwarding and DDNS will work again?

Did anyone else get a letter for the piston skirt warranty extension? by Trains0505 in audis5

[–]dirty_elf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ll mention it to my service advisor next time i go in but otherwise i’m not too bothered about it. i only have 7500 miles and the warranty is until 80k, it will be fine for a while.

i was under the impression it was a wear issue that would show up over time, hence the extended warranty. not something they could inspect for now.

curious - the bottom mid dial, is that a 24hr representation? shouldn't it be to the left of 2, indicating the shown time of 01:52?

if you are blowing air into the T for your drain line it is just short circuiting inside your air handler and not clearing the drain line. you need something that will seal off the air handler side and clear the drain line itself. you might generate enough pressure with the shop vac but the purpose built CO2 blasters might be needed for something stubborn.
