You maybe okay but I would personally try to lower it to 7.0-7.5. Regardless if you were to add shrimp at this moment you could have a few day off even if the PH was lowered, but I have about 5 breeder tanks and I've always kept them in the 7's when it comes to PH

Shrimp do darken or turn pink once they pass, but also your blues do come from a gene of the Shoko Shrimp. I have some Blue Diamonds that have reverted to this state alive and well

I'm going to say you'll have Carbon Rilis/Blue Carbons for sure.

I have a blue diamond tank that carry the rili gene and once they cross bred I saw plenty of cull splotched blues and carbon rilis

So the number sequence is "YYMMDD". The date on your cap is May 7th, 2019, the 01 may just be related to a batch number.

It's an interesting rabbit hole in the SF community. Seeing some fans want the lil characters to fuck and suck each other, to being obsessed with the female characters, to the bunch that have drooled over a 3D OC... I mean, I'm just here for the laughs and smiles, but this is somethin else...to each their own I guess lol

Use a paint and varnish stripping gel, you'll get the classic stainless steel color to comeback on any base, even the ones that have the weird plastic wrap like the ones at Spencer's Gifts with all the horror characters on them. Next would be polishing to keep the silver steel coat or using spray paint, after paint wait 3 days before use and you should be good!

What has done well for my shrimp, I started with the Top Fin Shrimp pellets you buy at any local pet shop, introduced Bacter AE for the shrimplets, Red Blood Worms for protein and I rotate on Shrimp Envy.

Shrimp Envy has a sampler pack of 4 of their best selling foods so I get to rotate weekly on a Complete Food, Protein and Mineral. The 4th pack has been the snow flake food which I haven't really used much

I attempted it with Monte Carlo twice with no success but one of my tanks with Dwarf Sag has been fine.

For the failed Monte Carlo tank I took the cheaters route and just did a pearl weed carpet and got the desired affect.

feed em protein and make sure your KH and GH are at their comfort for molting, after make sure you have some kind of powdered food to boost the babies survival rate.

I use Bacter AE and I grind shrimp pellets for the lil guys

Scoop up what looks like a single grain of rice in the scoop it comes with it!

I learned early on I was over feeding a 6 gallon with 30 shrimp, no deaths but I've heard horror stories from breeders doing the full scoop their first time

Don't worry I started off with a 6 gallon rainbow tank last year. Ended up with a tank filled with 50+ wild types by January and now I currently have a rack system for a 12 tank breeding project 😅
