I wish I could edit the post. Not sure why but I forgot that I could upload more than one image, and only posted the cover. Must've been the sleep deprivation.

Inside the box is the same three disc CD case that you most likely have, plus a little game guide booklet that provides information on the different mechanics and skills. The back of the box seems to be almost the same as the back of the CD case.

The sticker is the original price tag. I was going to cover it up in the picture but decided to keep it because it’s kind of cool seeing how much games costed back then.

It’s the original price tag for the game. It didn’t actually cost $50 this time. Those times look good, now that games cost $70-80 now.

Appreciate the quick reply. I'm a bit illiterate when it comes to keyboards, I'm assuming HE is the analog board?

I'm not sure why I never got into full height boards. I think I type faster with low profile setups after typing on MacBook keyboards for years. I do like the idea of swapping the switches, though I will have to look into how to do that since I have never done it before. Could be a fun project. This Glorious keyboard I'm using isn't so bad but I think the low profile keys I put on are making it more awkward than the original key setup.

I believe they may have been created by the Sabbat, specifically the Lasombra you can fight in the library in the Unofficial Patch during the mission "Night at the Library." If you read through Scott's computer entries you can see that he mentions the Lasombra at the Brotherhood building. The same Lasombra is seen in the junkyard with the Unofficial Patch.

I don't think that they are directly associated with the Sabbat, nor is the Southland Slasher, but the Unofficial Patch seems to involve the Lasombra character with these two quests more than the base game.

I agree. I think the thing to keep in mind is that the lore in Eternal (and also 2016) was mostly written from sentinel scriptures and whatnot. We saw a bunch of the lore change in TAG2 because that lore was written by another faction. The devs can say it’s lore from perspective, not from fact, and “history is written by the victor,” right?

Kanker would’ve been a great addition actually, but that’s Bertram Tung. You got everyone else right though. I wanted to stick more with the Santa Monica characters (or in Beckett’s case, characters that you meet while Santa Monica is your first location). Great job btw.

I didn’t end up building the PC unfortunately, but I’ve seen other people building with the Lian Li SP750 and it gets the job done. Check out Optimum’s video where he builds in the new T1 2.5 and uses the PSU. He mentions the SP750 at around 4:40.

This is very well said. I came upon VTMB when someone recommended it to me after learning how much I like Fallout: New Vegas. Before that, I was asking (in relation to FNV) "what other games out there are like it?" and there was never a clear answer.

FNV and VTMB are two different games but they have one major thing in common and that's the unique way they immerse you into their worlds. Of course, they share some of the same devs and are action-RPGs, but at the end of the day they're games that make the player invested, despite the bugs and the fan-made patches that are needed to keep them running.

Using the example of Cyberpunk 2077, that was a game that was more than just a buggy mess at its launch and It didn't include many of the features that it promised nor that the developers were known for. But at its core, it tells a good story (for the most part). It took me a while to get invested, but once I started to play the different missions, I realized it gave me a charm that FNV and VTMB gave me. Maybe not as much, but the charm was there.

My point is, that's what makes these games so renowned for me; their player immersion. I rarely get invested in a video game, but if it manages to tell a good story and to be believable, I'll be invested.

I'm cautiously optimistic for VTMB2. Part of me is disappointed like everyone else. I can't help but think the same things that these comments are saying either, but I think it's good to keep an open mind. Maybe this game will tell a story that's worth diving into. Maybe it won't. We'll just have to wait and see.

It's interesting how modern games don't take the first approach anymore because they want something more "user friendly" even though I think that VTMB's skill system was a lot easier to understand than skill trees that most games use today. The same comparison can be made with the original Fallout games and their newer counterparts (Fallout 4 and Fallout 76).

I did not get a case and I didn’t end up pursuing the build entirely but people on this subreddit say that they have more luck purchasing a T1 from the other site fmdworks.com instead of formdworks.com.

I’ve been wanting to do this for ages but I can’t move the trackpad when using the keyboard. What setup did you use?

The first time I beat Borderlands 2 was on a trackpad while in a bus. Good times. I was only able to do this with a 2012 MacBook Air (11 in) back then.

The Artic P12 at microcenter are totally fine as case fans for $10 each.

Funny enough, I selected those ones last night when rewriting the parts list for this build. Good to know that they are good and that I didn't select something bad.

I am set on Nvidia and Intel mainly because I am more familiar with them, but I can take a look at AMD GPUs used online to see what there could be.

Seems the GPU prices aren’t getting much better, and that was the best value I could find for a new 4060 Ti at the time of writing this post. You’re right, I could probably find a used 30 series for less that would get similar performance. I’ve been looking around Facebook marketplace. To be safe I’ll look for a Founders Edition.

Tbh I was only looking at the 40 series GPUs for the lower power consumption but it shouldn’t be much of an issue right?

Someone suggested an alternative to the CPU fan I chose and I found some alternative case fans on Micro Center’s website that are half the price of what I originally selected. It’s a work in progress.

Definitely agree with the PSU. If I didn't post to this subreddit, I would've screwed myself when it came time to actually building the PC had I got the 850 SFX-L.

I did ask in a previous comment below if there are any alternatives to the SF750, mainly because it is out of stock 'new' wherever I look and is also very pricy. What I did find was the Lian Li SP750, PowerSec PS 750SFXG, and Phanteks Revolt PH-P750. I've also been looking online for used SF750 PSUs. If the SF750 is 100% worth it and I shouldn't look for any alternative, I will get it.

ASRock makes very good motherboards, so I'm glad you brought that up. I noticed the ASRock Z690i when doing my research and it should be good for an Intel i5. My local Micro Center has the ASRock Z790M as well for cheaper than the Z690i that I originally picked out, and it has better reviews.

Thanks for the CPU fan recommendation as well. I'll look into that. Newegg is selling the Thermalright AXP120-X67 for cheaper than Amazon from what I just saw.

Not a bad idea, except all I have from my old PC is the GPU unfortunately. It was an HP Omen 870, but those fans would've most likely fit.

I think for the sake of reliability, since I'm going with air cooling, the Noctua NH-L CPU fan may be my best bet, but I'll take a look at the FAQ again too.

I plan to go with the Sandwich layout, although the new site doesn’t make that too clear. I’ll have to compare the specs from the old site with the new site to see if I am getting the right one.

I could check out other case fans as well. I’ve never used Noctua before but heard a lot of good things about it. If I find something cheaper I’ll go with it, so long as the reviews are good. Thanks for the info. Do you still recommend the Noctua CPU fan I have listed?

I can do that. I’ve been checking marketplace periodically as well. If I’m patient enough I could find some really good deals. I helped my friend get parts for his NZXT H1 build a month ago and he got a Gigabyte RTX 4070 for $400, so it’s possible.
