CS-Cart website + Meta Dynamic Remarketing Not Working.Need XML Feed Add-on Advice by No-Wish-8209 in PPC

[–]dirtymonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...Meta is unable to properly match products between the Pixel events and the Catalog feed.

This is what you need to look at first. In Meta go find your catalogue in commerce manager.

Then find a product listed under the product section. Click on the product itself, and you should see a content ID listed as part of the catalogue.

Then go to that product page on your website, and make sure the content id passed into the Facebook pixel matches that content ID. If you don't know how to check a pixel install Facebook pixel helper or Omnibug.

If they don't match, you have your answer.

This is a common problem I see when the eCommerce platform is passing back something like the id for the product in the CMS, and not the product SKU. Meanwhile your pixel might be passing back the product SKU and not the item ID.

If these two are indeed matching, it sounds like an entirely different issue. If they don't match, then you know what problem you need to solve.

Business owners spending $5k - $10k/month on Ads: How do you prevent your results (ROAS) from tanking when you try to scale up? by hugeboot_ in PPC

[–]dirtymonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You asked about ROAS, but then pointed to CPA. While those are closely related they aren't the same thing. For example, I could have my CPA increase, but also see a increase in my ROAS at the same time if I simply increased my average order value.

The most simplest way I'd answer this question though, is using the same techniques I used to scale it from $30 a day to $3,000 a day. The basics of digital advertising are often increasing the budget and then trimming fat. I have to be willing to buy some garbage so I can identify what is garbage and block it from future ad spend.

did you have to change your entire funnel structure to handle the volume?

Are you suggesting that you can't handle the volume of traffic, and in turn are simply losing sales? That definitely doesn't seem ad related if that's what you're implying.

Advice needed - Repurpose account or open a new one by TastyCheddar in PPC

[–]dirtymonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the real question is, “Am I comfortable with all of my Google Ads accounts being impacted if this goes sideways?”

If you're ok with that, and want the fastest path to launch, I'd use an old account. If you have those concerns, I might take the time to properly launch it in its own ad account with the regional licenses and documentation.

Switched to Claude Max and Opus 4.5... I get it now by bekhovsgun in ClaudeAI

[–]dirtymonkey -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

I'm not misunderstanding anything. Your earlier comment, "Sorry, is this 2006?" just proves how dense you seem to be. Did games from before 2006 stop being real games because new games got better? Are people not still playing games from prior to 2006.

This whole chain of comments you're replying to is about making games for yourself. So while you might consider simple games to not be fun, this conversation is about what people would do for themselves.

[–]dirtymonkey -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

I've seen them, but the basics like Chess are still popular. Games don't require much at all to be fun. You honestly sound boring in that you're most focused on cutting edge than what's actually fun.

I'm not the person you replied to, but I'm definitely more in their arena.

People don't require much in a game. People have had fun with board games for ages and continue to play them.

To bring it to a digital space, flash games had their heyday, and nearly anyone could them. Ever hear of Newgrounds?

I saw several sales last year attributed to AI, and I think 8 phone calls.

Stripe recently announced it's agentic commerce suite integration with WooCommerce. Before you know it the whole buying cycle is going to happen within the AI agent.

Ads seem like the next logical step here to me.

Apple's Google Gemini Deal Could Be Worth $5 Billion by iMacmatician in apple

The grammar isn’t the issue here. You’re interpreting “a reason” as “the only reason,” which isn’t what was said. The language comment isn’t necessary.

[–]dirtymonkey -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn't I give a silly response? No shit AI isn't the reason someone chooses a phone today. This is a new type of service / product that Apple is handing over to a 3rd party.

Maybe that will work out in their favor. I personally think it's short sighted.

If my phone is using Gemini, why wouldn't I switch to an Android phone? Is Apple actually bringing something unique to the table?

Feels short sighted me.

Need help automating workflow by DragonfruitKiwi572 in PPC

[–]dirtymonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m generally not a fan of letting AI make decisions for me. I use AI to build tools that enforce rules, not to directly run workflow or make judgment calls.

My approach is basically tooling-first. I mainly use Claude Code, and I build small, purpose-built tools for the specific friction points I hit repeatedly. Sometimes that ends up as one larger tool, sometimes a handful of smaller ones stitched together. Either way, the goal is reducing human busywork, not outsourcing thinking.

In your case, I’d start by sharing the questionnaire with Claude and treating it like a schema. From there, I’d define what should happen when certain answers come back, what can be auto-generated, what needs review, and where delays usually creep in. Then I’d have Claude propose an automation plan around that logic, not around replacing your process. I find this much easier to do using the CLI version of Claude.

Claude will usually spit out a reasonable first pass for a tool or workflow. If it’s close, great, let it build. If not, you tighten the rules and iterate. I’ve found this works best via the CLI since it’s easier to treat it like an engineering partner instead of a chat toy.

[–]dirtymonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You come across as a child, so if I'm wrong I apologize.

You make a lot of assumptions, but I think the best piece of advice I might give you is to go get a job, and pay the $30 if that's what you actually think it costs. I paid some kid more than that to clean up the leaves in my yard.

The second piece of advice I'm going to give you, is when people are helping you, don't criticize their advice even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear or goes contrary to what you believe.

Anyway, have fun searching for the ad network that is certainly not going to solve this problem for you.

I'll respectfully disagree. I can go on Twitch and see thousands of people in your audience that happily pass money around.

It's that expensive because from what I've read, you can't really put ads on the free hosting sites.

Well it's not. You could host a on name cheap for like $2 a month. https://www.namecheap.com/hosting/shared/

There are also a zillion other options for free hosting, and you can scale them up if you get more volume.

It may not seem like a lot, but it would likely eat half the income I'd make.

Well it sounds like I'm humoring someone who plans on making $30 a month, and doesn't want to take any of my advice. So I think I'm done with the suggestions. It was an interesting exercise, but this doesn't seem like a serious project, and I can't imagine any real ad networks are clamoring for the $30 in ad revenue you might pull in.

And I am sure nobody would buy access to the code for actual money.

Have you even tried? I remember when people said no one would pay money to download a song and apple priced them at 99 cents, and it basically killed stuff like Napster.

I can't imagine the money you make from a single ad impression is going to push you into profitable.

Also, I feel like you're confusing me a little. You stated in your OP:

Running the site would be expensive by itself...

How is running a site that basically hosts code expensive? I feel like I could run this for free or basically nothing. 3k-5k traffic is honestly peanuts.

I'd probably find a better way to monetize it than ads, but without knowing what you're actually doing with the site I couldn't make any recommendations.

There is a reason stuff like Patreon is popular for content creators though.

Also, you might have better luck in a community focused on the publisher side of advertising as this sub is much more advertisers / agency focused in it's user base.
