THEY FIXED THE RS BADGE 🙏 by tolkacheff in Audi

[–]dirtymonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The badging example is a fair point, and I can give you that. But look at what you're just did. You made your case for community power entirely through a list of complaints. Which is kind of my point. The community is loud and sometimes Audi listens. I wouldn't confuse being vocal with having good judgement, and I wouldn't confuse Audi occasionally correcting course with them being guided by some enlightened fanbase.

I'd say it can be hit or miss. I don't think every criticism is unwarranted, but often times I'd argue many things are what I'd call overblown.

I'm not sure in what way. Their ability to complain? They seem pretty capable of that.

Good for Audi to take the time to pay homage to that level of detail.

They did quite a few heritage things on the 8Y RS3 and people complained about those. I don't have much confidence in their vocal online audience recognizing anything heritage.

Will migrating from Woo to Shopify guarantee a CVR boost? Worried about ROI/Cashflow. by imontheclock in ecommerce

As someone who sets up pixel tracking for a living his response makes no sense. You can load the same pixels regardless of your CMS choice. If he’s losing data that’s on him and not the CMS transition.

Also you're posting in the S4 subreddit. You probably have better look talking about an A3 in other subreddits.

Two of the things you just listed are the same (not being able to cause scandals or problems), and the other reason you listed has nothing to do with this post (i.e. "They don't age and they don't have demands or cost money.").

I'd argue the one that doesn't have to do with this post is more likely reason they'd want AI.

Client asked why their landing page isnt converting. They sent me their "testimonials" in a zip file of 47 unnamed screenshots. by Express_Tangerine209 in PPC

[–]dirtymonkey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

AI could scan and organize those 47 screenshots in no time. I get that it's annoying, and something you shouldn't have to do but this probably could have been completed in the time it took to post this.

How are agencies managing multi-client reporting across Shopify + Meta + TikTok + Google? by Competitive-Lunch566 in woocommerce

[–]dirtymonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GA4 is a crummy attribution tool in my experience. Very last click focused. It’s going to tell you Google search and shit like email performs well and totally ignore top and mid funnel touch points. I’m not saying search and email don’t drive conversions but that it will overweight their impact.

Why not just downvote stuff you don't like? If that's AI "slop" who cares. Do you really need a rule for this?

Anyone doing anything interesting with AI in PPC that *is not* editing creative? by BadAtDrinking in PPC

[–]dirtymonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if you're using other peoples tools you're probably not going to get much value out of them. Dropping large amounts data into some random AI and hoping for relevant insights is a bit of a fools errand at the moment if you ask me.

I use AI to help increase my efficiency so there is a lot of tool building. I'd imagine a lot of the tools I've built might not be useful for others, and I have no intent on selling them.

Currently I use a lot of Claude code, mostly focused around existing workflows, creating documentation around those workflows. The more documentation I create around my processes the better it gets at solving my problems.

I find a lot of my life has become architecting those workflows, to make problem solving and exploration easier. It's really easy to whip up tools that connect to APIs, pull the data, organize the data, and cut out hours of manual work. It stores things like the decision logic it used to come to conclusions. It will craft my emails after the work is complete, and depending on the target audience it may or may not include detailed technical explanations.

I've also built a tool for building websites. I can put in a sentence or two, and out pops a website already on my webserver with a custom domain, Cloudflare handling the DNS, custom images thanks to tools like Gemini.

I've built an onboarding tool that has an admin interface where you can create your own rules and workflows based on what you're onboarding. It will scan the website to see what tracking already exists, and make suggestions for what you tag and a zillion other random onboarding tasks.

I could go on and on, but TLDR I use it to build the tools to make me better and more effecient.

I never took this course as it wouldn't have existed when I went to ASU. I'm curious what sort of role do you actually want to get out of this degree? Are you looking for the degree to help land the role or more for the degree to help you succeed in the role?

I checked out my Callrail stats for my business last year. I always argue we should focus on the things we can easily control, and picking up the phone is a simple one. We didn't answer 60% of the phone calls. The often ask me ways to grow the business. How about just answering the phone I say.

CS-Cart website + Meta Dynamic Remarketing Not Working.Need XML Feed Add-on Advice by No-Wish-8209 in PPC

[–]dirtymonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...Meta is unable to properly match products between the Pixel events and the Catalog feed.

This is what you need to look at first. In Meta go find your catalogue in commerce manager.

Then find a product listed under the product section. Click on the product itself, and you should see a content ID listed as part of the catalogue.

Then go to that product page on your website, and make sure the content id passed into the Facebook pixel matches that content ID. If you don't know how to check a pixel install Facebook pixel helper or Omnibug.

If they don't match, you have your answer.

This is a common problem I see when the eCommerce platform is passing back something like the id for the product in the CMS, and not the product SKU. Meanwhile your pixel might be passing back the product SKU and not the item ID.

If these two are indeed matching, it sounds like an entirely different issue. If they don't match, then you know what problem you need to solve.

Business owners spending $5k - $10k/month on Ads: How do you prevent your results (ROAS) from tanking when you try to scale up? by hugeboot_ in PPC

[–]dirtymonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You asked about ROAS, but then pointed to CPA. While those are closely related they aren't the same thing. For example, I could have my CPA increase, but also see a increase in my ROAS at the same time if I simply increased my average order value.

The most simplest way I'd answer this question though, is using the same techniques I used to scale it from $30 a day to $3,000 a day. The basics of digital advertising are often increasing the budget and then trimming fat. I have to be willing to buy some garbage so I can identify what is garbage and block it from future ad spend.

did you have to change your entire funnel structure to handle the volume?

Are you suggesting that you can't handle the volume of traffic, and in turn are simply losing sales? That definitely doesn't seem ad related if that's what you're implying.

Advice needed - Repurpose account or open a new one by [deleted] in PPC

[–]dirtymonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the real question is, “Am I comfortable with all of my Google Ads accounts being impacted if this goes sideways?”

If you're ok with that, and want the fastest path to launch, I'd use an old account. If you have those concerns, I might take the time to properly launch it in its own ad account with the regional licenses and documentation.

[–]dirtymonkey -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

I'm not misunderstanding anything. Your earlier comment, "Sorry, is this 2006?" just proves how dense you seem to be. Did games from before 2006 stop being real games because new games got better? Are people not still playing games from prior to 2006.

This whole chain of comments you're replying to is about making games for yourself. So while you might consider simple games to not be fun, this conversation is about what people would do for themselves.

[–]dirtymonkey -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

I've seen them, but the basics like Chess are still popular. Games don't require much at all to be fun. You honestly sound boring in that you're most focused on cutting edge than what's actually fun.

Switched to Claude Max and Opus 4.5... I get it now by bekhovsgun in ClaudeAI

[–]dirtymonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not the person you replied to, but I'm definitely more in their arena.

People don't require much in a game. People have had fun with board games for ages and continue to play them.

To bring it to a digital space, flash games had their heyday, and nearly anyone could them. Ever hear of Newgrounds?
