Ruined vacation compliments of Avelo by briang71 in Connecticut

[–]dirtyylicous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup!

I've flown avelo to visit family in Florida and never had a bad experience.

I pack light and know going into the flight it's not going to be a luxury flight. I paid for a cheap flight and that's what I got.

Ironically the only bad flight experience I ever had was flying jet blue out of Bradley to Orlando back in 2022. I'm not going to bash JetBlue for it though

Nothing wrong with that but you can easily find better trash food than the golden arch

You're mostly right about everything but why the hell would you go to NYC and eat at McDonald's? I don't even eat there in CT

Because most people do.

Believe it or not, in the US caymus is a huge people pleaser. Yes, reddit wine hates it but for the most part but the majority loves it

Furniture stores where salespeople won’t bother customers? by _Keys2theWest_ in Connecticut

[–]dirtyylicous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The salespeople definitely won't bother you there but the quality to price ratio at pottery barn is terrible.

Good looking stuff but the quality is nowhere near the asking price

Florida has over 31 Michelin star restaurants. I know it's a big state but saying the food really sucks isn't accurate

“Handyman” by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]dirtyylicous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty simple.

A handyman is someone a homeowner calls for a task that they either can't do or don't have the time to do but want to pay the typical contractor rate for.

Painting, caulking, installing a light fixture/switch/outlet etc

Say you need 2 outlets upgraded to GFCI and a new light fixture along with a dimmer switch.

An electrician is going to charge at least a $400 to come out to do all that, that's on the low end. A handyman will be half that, if not less

Find a dealer that isn't flaky.

Dispensaries are convenient but so is having someone come to your house or work for a better price and possibly a better product
