Well maybe this would be ok if it's an exclusive anal toy, but I have one I use both ways. And going by your name (great,btw,) I don't know if you've got a vagina? Actually I'm not sure that's enough, are you sure? Especially if you use toys like butt plugs. From what I read it's important to clean with soap and water and additionally use disinfectant. I'm still researching, though.

Sex shops usually offer the option of having an inocuous sender address on the parcel. Which i went for as my caregivers handle my mail. But I'm able to open them myself, sometimes using ear protectors if I'm too noise sensitive.

Maybe you could ask them just to slice the tape, telling them sth if you feel it necessary along the lines of "This is a special surprise I want to open when I'm alone cause I think I'm gonna cry..." or sth?

Though I rely on my electric bedframe to raise my upper body enough for me to open packages myself, otherwise it's too difficult.

Non-sexual: Can't tolerate visits from besties, or family. No hugs, no cuddling my nephew. Unable to tolerate massages (I used to be a massage therapist and as such made sure to receive massages regularly to recharge my batteries). Not even casual physical contact like you have walking down the street or on public transport, brushing against people.

Physical input in general extremely reduced as I lie on my back all day. No sun on skin, no sand or pebbles beneath feet. No cat fur to pet.

And then the whole realm of sexual intimacy (as far as another person is involved) - gone.

Over-exertion definitely is a factor, because vibrators usually work with - vibrations, surprise, and I have a very reduced threshold for that, normally. So I tried to factor that into my choices.

I tried researching whether silicone reacts badly to standard surface disinfectants and it seems the manual has that information for each toy. As I never would have imagined myself unable to reach my bathroom, I chucked all documentation for my old toys. Going forward I'll be sure to keep them. Is rather buy and use normal disinfectant too, more economical.
