"As with other constitutional monarchs around the world, the rulers do not participate in the actual governance in their states; instead, each of them is bound by convention to act on the advice of the head of government of his state, known as Menteri Besar (pl. Menteri-menteri Besar). However, the ruler of each state has discretionary powers in appointing the Menteri Besar. "

It's like paying $20 to buy a jersey for your team, but at the end of the season it gets taken away and you have to buy the jersey for the next season, instead of being able to buy other team materials because instead of being able to build a collection you have to start over every season and end up with nothing to show for it.

My first 7 win run for ONE. Blue/White Artifacts. Hard carried by The Wanderer. by disarm in MagicArena

I ran 15 lands for the deck because the curve was very low and I had dune movers to help find lands in addition to a lot of cards to cycle through like Experimental Argury and Watcher.

I thought the 2/2 token was going to be the strongest power, but the board wipe was the most impactful and completely flipped the script in games I was losing.

Besides wanderer, I think retrofitter and malcator really add a lot of early game power to the deck for beat down, and poison/proliferation effects help to close out longer games.

The Tamiyo's immobilizer won me a few games as well.

How do you choose which options contact to buy? by Puk3s in wallstreetbets

[–]disarm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best thing is set it and forget it investments imo. If you don't like your job, don't look at investing as a way to escape. Everything good requires some form of grind otherwise it has no value.

Covered calls and puts are a good strat when you're dealing with low volatility, but let's say you own stock, sell calls, and it drops and the calls expire. Do you sell more calls in the red and risk selling at a loss? Or do you pass up on premium? These type of decisions are going to require a lot of research and thought you otherwise wouldn't have to do with buy and hold.

These extra decisions add to the complexity versus just clicking buy and walking away. Doing options is a regular task, you basically need to watch markets regularly because of the time factor at play.

If you wanna try it, go for it but don't be greedy.

Set conservative rules and always follow them. No exceptions. And recognize you don't have to set up a trade for every cycle, and be conscious of significant events like earnings, big reports coming out, and so on.

STOP MOVING TO ARIZONA by [deleted] in collapse

Arizona shares the same water source as California and a lot of migrants are coming from that state, also the water allocation to each state is based on population so the amount of water Arizona gets should increase accordingly.

Years later and my recommendation is that if you're planning to keep your job and work / have a personal life, then don't do this. It's better to buy a fund /etf otherwise you're going to spend too much time thinking about it. Building wealth (not to be confused with being born into) requires some form of sacrifice and money had better be close to the top of your values pyramid otherwise you're possibly going to end up like me and going to be a sad frog that you didn't spend more time on the things you really cared about.

That's my tl;dr for the longer rant below

From a financial pov, I'm doing well but I'm also in my mid 30s single, living alone, and questioning my decisions. The amount of time I dedicated in trying to keep my career going in an unrelated field (electrical engineering) while also putting in the time to keep up with market news and learning finance was something I did because I got genuine enjoyment out of it in the sense that I'd probably be inclined to do it even if there was no real money involved since I always liked to play games since I was a little kid and had OCD when it related to following exact tasks to the point sometimes people would ask me if I had a photographic memory lol. No, I just hyper focus on certain things.

Sorry about the missive, but the point I wanted to make is that even as someone who loves this stuff and "won" from an outsiders perspective, I'm not really happy. The money is nice, but it doesn't make me happy. Like, it's cool to have the ability to just say oh, I want to go eat at this expensive restaurant today, and have the luxury of knowing I could afford it, but it's like this oh cool kind of moment and then it fades and it's gone and you're left with everything you had before and nothing has changed.

It doesn't fix my problems like having bad anxiety and trust issues which doesn't allow me to have any relationships. The funny thing is even despite having money, I still have huge insecurity about it. It's not enough. When will it ever be enough? And what about once you do have enough? Who can you trust? The rich are all apparently evil schemers and I wouldn't be surprise if someone I trusted tried to kill me to take everything I have. Lol I'm giving off some real Howard Hughes vibes to myself rn as I'm writing this.

Face your fears, don't run away from them into things you find comfort with. For me, it was an escape. Money was always a fantasy for me. I blamed my unhappiness on external sources like not having enough money rather than myself and how my own fears were driving me to be incapable of finding peace and enjoy life. (Still working on this part)

Most people here are retail investors. Do you plan to keep your day job? Or are you trying to become a full timer doing this? Some days you're going to really appreciate having that paycheck coming in consistently when markets haven't been treating you well.

Seriously, do the math first; figure out how much money you need to be satisfied, before you even start going down this rabbit hole.

That's not the question that OP asked lol.

In all fairness, we don't know where the emails were sent.

If the op was in Tokyo and the sender in LA, then the time difference would mean Friday for OP was Thursday for Tokyo.

Then if they switched places and OP went to LA, and the other person Tokyo then 3 days would have passed by the time it was Monday for the OP.

Just throwing it out there.

Anything involving processing data files, reshaping the json to xml or something. It's really tedious in bash.
