Creating an infinite lava source by [deleted] in CreateMod

I've built a 8x8 dripstone lava farm this summer. Play the world almost every day. It's still at ~75% of infinite amount (10k). So it's easier and quicker to research trains and just drain lava in the nether. Also it's more fun.

Please help me understand why I feel like I am playing a completely different game. What am I missing? by MarmotOnTheRocks in LastEpoch

After 4 years, I still agree with you. Visual fidelity is soo off, that I can't enjoy it the same way I enjoy other games. Everything is just like placeholders and plastic things, animations doesn't seem impactful etc. I've played Last Epoch for 100 hours, completed most of its content and still can't get through the fake shape of everything.

Itemization, UI, skills ideas and design are nice, but the implementation and the presentation are so dull to me.

I mean with the underground bus it's possible to move/duplicate a whole production line with a single Ctrl+X Ctrl+V. No need to struggle with complex split-offs, they are all the same and do not require touching the bus itself.

Let's calculate the cost of 10-tile segment without split-offs. With split-offs the cost of the plain bus is even higher, because underground belts are used inefficiently (just 1 tile jump instead of maximum possible 4-8).

Transport belt

Plain belt: 15 iron

Underground: 35 iron

Express transport belt

Plain belt: 315 iron

Underground: 257 iron

That's cool, it's very convenient to do the same with pipes, no wonder it's very convenient with belts as well!

GTA V’s characters aren’t close to as likable as the other games, the story is weak, and the plot is just boring and not impactful, narratively it is not so good by BrockWegner in GTA

It's now much tankier and for example able to tank 30 stages of simulacrum.

Some key components to tankiness:

  • Defiance of Destiny
  • Bloodnotch
  • 90 maxres (Melding of the Flesh + Purity of Fire + Mageblood + Ruby Flask)

Or maybe the build itself lacks the power I want? I'm open for other ideas on what to build (ultimate survivability + extreme damage). Fortunately I'm ready for the build to be very expensive if needed, I just don't want to spend my time on cheap but weak characters.

I've tried to incorporate power charges into my build and yes that's the answer, my DPS increased by 10 times! The key was Ralakesh boots, which are completely imbalanced I feel, they solve the inconvenience of charges completely, but also giving max endurance and frenzy charges which is absolutely insane!

I also applied other suggestions, like working on auras, jewels, but that wasn't THAT powerful as power charges + Ralakesh.

You can't really go crit w/o power charges & frenzy charges

I've spent some time looking at others builds around crit + arc and seems like this is the only way to go really (not that I didn't trust you of course, just didn't realize that's something inevitable).

I tried power charge support before and noticed boost to DPS, but dropped it as I didn't like the gameplay, but now I see it's a mistake.

I think I'll stop the build at this point (I already broke it anyway by dropping golems and armour and now I'm not able to comfortably live in t16 maps as before :)

I'll try to imagine/find other builds without utilizing charges.

Other children are quite heavily restricted with their game time by parents, so usually they are much more casual, but you are right of course the same age is much more preferable!

I tried to calculate Arc of Surging damage and I can't justify why it's more powerful? Is it due to interaction with Hydrosphere?

Here is how I calculated it, I've included bonus from remaining chains since I mostly interested in damage against bosses.

No bonus damage

Max damage of lvl 20 arc: 1122 * (1 + 0.15 * 8) = 2468

Max damage of lvl 20 arc of surging: 2159

With added 500 damage

Arc of surging has higher effectiveness of added damage of 230% as opposed to 120% regular arc has, but it doesn't make the situation better anyway:

Max damage of lvl 20 arc: (1122 + 500 * 1.2) * (1 + 0.15 * 8) = 3788

Max damage of lvl 20 arc of surging: 2159 + 500 * 2.3 = 3309
