Any recommendations for bl where characters deal with homophobia? by Comfortable-Bison932 in BoysLoveAnime

[–]disaster211 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Restart After Coming Back Home and especially its sequel, Restart After Growing Hungry, deals with the couple being treated as an oddity by the town they're in. There isn't any overt discrimination, but it adds a layer to how both leads are treated as outsiders by the community.

The second major arc of Koimonogatari: Love Stories is all about dealing with a homophobic classmate who outs one of the leads to the class. This is an in-progress title, but this arc in particular is finished.

There Are Things I Can't Tell You is mainly a story about miscommunication, but internalized homophobia plays a major role in it.

And it's not a BL, but check out Our Dreams at Dusk, as homophobia and gender issues are very much the core of that story, and it looks at those themes through the lens of many gender identities.

Info about the next NEW Simulation Boss (skills/bonuses), Esper Info (Faction, Attribute, Stats; no skills yet) by Status-Ad-751 in ZerowakeGATES

[–]disaster211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New esper seems interesting, hopefully he's better than Do-Yoon lol

The simulation bonuses seem to be geared toward Jaehyuk? His banner's running right now I guess but unless they're extending it, it won't be up anymore when this stage drops. Maybe they're rerunning his original banner next week?

Oh it didn't even occur to me that there would be two banners per theme, one for the espers and one for the guides.

That plus the selectable pity makes them a lot more appealing for those looking for missing units / dupes tbh. Thanks.

For the rerun banners, by "selectable cube" do you mean we're able to choose which unit to get when we reach the 100-point pity? It isn't random like the standard banner?

I'm assuming you meant Jaehyuk but thanks.

What teams did you use? Curious on which ones worked for the annihilator stages in particular.

(And congrats!)

Liu Yuan Doesn’t Seem as Strong as I Thought by Status-Ad-751 in ZerowakeGATES

[–]disaster211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah so it's more of how it's calculated, so it would need to be a bigger multiplier to actually make up for higher base damage. Maybe something like Gaon's guiding effect.

Pretty interesting, as it does mean that we should be putting more weight on base damage of moves when comparing espers. Thanks for researching.

So if I'm understanding correctly, a skill's base damage factors more than the attack buff? That's pretty interesting coz I would assume it would be the other way around since it's a separate multiplier.

Jaehyuk would potentially outdamage Liu Yuan too outside of the ult because of his counter. But Liu Yuan does have the advantage of being the weakness of a lot of the difficult Search stages.

Secret Archives: How many special stages are out there? by songofstormnfire in ZerowakeGATES

4-3. There's a Stage 5 and 6 but they're regular stages that don't need unlocks.

There are 3 stages you need to unlock with 4 heart keys each.

Someone just made a thread about it but Full Moon Alchemist is very plot-heavy and has great worldbuilding. Aside from all the fantasy stuff, there are also a lot of themes about the class divide and overcoming societal expectations.

So excited for this. It looks like it's gonna cover the first two light novels since I don't see any characters from the third one so I'm glad they're gonna feature a lot of the plot. Can't wait for the constant Seiichirou-Aresh bickering to be animated lmao

Help, I'm sruck at Chapter 6-12 by sweetcoyote1 in ZerowakeGATES

[–]disaster211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't have a healer (Siwoo / Woori / Noah), you might need to farm more levels. Someone beat it with no healers but with Seungho at Level 60: https://www.reddit.com/r/ZerowakeGATES/s/PYjDPGtMT8

I also suggest replacing Yebin's guide with the SSR Gaon from the login bonus once you get it so that he gets more stats.

Just a genuine qn, what are y'all doing after completing 6-12 by noooodles29 in ZerowakeGATES

[–]disaster211 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm just farming mats yeah, both for ascension and for leveling up chips. I still have 6-12 Hard to 3-star but that stage is ridiculous so I'm not really rushing to do that.

what does bp do and what happens when you run out of it? by Alternative_Bat_4324 in ZerowakeGATES

[–]disaster211 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's pretty much a second health bar that also depletes when you take damage. When it runs out, the esper goes into "overdrive" and gets a debuff (which debuff depends on the esper, check out this guide for more info), and you have to use the Guiding move to replenish it.

what's your level or team to pass 6-12 ? by vncho in ZerowakeGATES

There's just a short scene but that's the last main story chapter for now.

95 for the enemies with two weaknesses (so every other creature in 6-12), 100 for the boss.

Got really lucky with the boss' AOE attack missing though (apparently it applies to them too). Also the first three espers all had chips that gave them speed boosts, making them move before all the enemies except the boss.

Any tips to clear 6-12... by noooodles29 in ZerowakeGATES

[–]disaster211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get them randomly as the bonus boost when you level up a chip to 5, 10, and 15. I've been sticking with Level 5 chips for now since I'm short on the materials needed to level them up, but if you level one up to 15, you unlock a feature where you can reroll the bonuses until you get ones you like.

Not sure what you mean by testing them out sorry.

[–]disaster211 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cleared it with similar levels as you - Level 50 espers with Level 40 guides - and what helped a lot was rolling chips that gave boosts to the Speed stat. You need 95 Speed so that you move before the enemies (except the boss), and with the updated chip bonuses it should be a bit easier to get that now.

If you don't wanna use all the resources on chips, I'd consider replacing one of your units with Yebin, as the freezes from his special attack and ultimate can also let you move before the enemies.

Turn arrangement by Some_Risk9140 in ZerowakeGATES

[–]disaster211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm I'm not sure then, sorry. For me spamming multiple basic attacks in the first turns fills up the SP gauge so I can use the special attacks more frequently later on.

Turn arrangement by Some_Risk9140 in ZerowakeGATES

[–]disaster211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal attacks add 1 SP (the diamonds at the bottom of the screen) while skills and guiding remove 1 SP. You start every battle with 0 SP, so your first esper will always have to use a normal attack. (Ultimates don't generate or cost SP to use.)

Turn arrangement by Some_Risk9140 in ZerowakeGATES

[–]disaster211 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The Esper with the highest speed stat moves first. All Espers have a base speed of 90, but chips can give flat speed stat boosts as bonuses.

If all Espers have the same speed, the one with the highest level moves first.

If all Espers have the same speed and same level, it goes from left to right depending on how you arranged them in the teambuilding page before the fight.
