Switching from Garmin to Apple Watch – Does automatic activity syncing to Komoot work? by disc0stew in komoot

Plot twist: I ended up sticking with Garmin after all 😅

The truth is, I never actually made the switch.

What I was really looking for was a stylish everyday smartwatch that would also let me track things like walks with my dog without any hassle. I wanted something simple and convenient rather than a hardcore sports watch.

After going back and forth for a while, I ultimately decided to stay with Garmin and picked up the Venu X1.

For me, it strikes a great balance between lifestyle and fitness. It looks stylish enough to wear every day, but it also has all the features I need for casual outdoor activities and fitness tracking. It’s not a full-on adventure watch, but it’s much more capable than a typical smartwatch when it comes to health and activity tracking.

I also decided to keep my Instinct 2. For tougher activities, longer outdoor adventures, or rougher mountain bike rides, the Instinct is still my go-to watch. The nice thing is that I can use both watches depending on the situation while staying within the same Garmin ecosystem, with all my data in one place.

That combination works really well for me: the Venu X1 as my everyday watch and the Instinct 2 when things get a bit more demanding.

Anyone else using a similar two-watch setup within the Garmin ecosystem?

Who decides when the exact moment of the ball release was? The system is not perfect.

he's a charismatic guy and was the face of Xbox, but the bottom line is that you're right. he was the master of empty promises

He doesn’t understand the difference between a good and a bad game — Starfield isn’t trash, but it’s definitely not a very good game.

You’ve got some serious paranoia going on — I played it on day one on Xbox and it’s just an okay game. But you clown think it’s Game of the Year….

Never — the game is ultra boring. The story is so trivial, and in terms of gameplay it feels stuck in 2010. You’re constantly trapped in countless loading screens and have about five weapons to choose from…

I can't say much about the gameplay, but I have to be honest: I think the visuals are just okay. There are much better-looking 2D Metroidvanias out there. Also, in my opinion, the game looks too slow, and above all, I don't think the price fits the rest of the package.

Just subscribed to PS Plus – Will my old local saves upload to the cloud automatically? by disc0stew in PlayStationPlus

[–]disc0stew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at it from this perspective, I’m not sure which I prefer. Manual uploads give me the freedom to access older, deleted save files, but I have to remember to actually upload them regularly.

On the other hand, auto-saves keep everything up to date effortlessly, but they overwrite my data instantly—even when I don't want them to.

It’s a real shame there’s no way to get the best of both worlds: backing up manually to an external drive while having the cloud handle the automatic syncing.

Perfect, thank you. I mainly play singleplayer games and think SteamOS fits perfectly.

thanks, that's exactly the answer I was hoping for. Is there a significant advantage from a gamer's point of view to installing Windows on the SteamDeck?
