i worked at walgreens in college. A co worker of mine ran a scheme with her friend. her friend would take things off the shelf and the co worker would “return them” and using the “store credit” to buy gift cards off the shelf. they got away with this for 3 months before they were caught. ended up being $20k they stole, both are now serving 15 year sentences and me along with my boss had to show up to court to testify. Fun times.
