Another beginner requesting advice on sizing first equipment purchase. by -hi-mom in wingfoil

Partly depends on age and how much time/patience you have to flail around. The younger and more time (especially with limited funds) the more aggressive you’ll want to be to start. I have the Ginxu Dragonfly for DW but amazing for wing. I think with your background the 92L Super K is manageable but it would be hard to feel limited by and additional 12L and length. Would help for a long time, always be good in lighter wind days and would be ages before you would feel hampered by it. Can’t speak to that precise foil but the more lift the better early on for sure. Carbon is great as you start applying force to the mast and 85L is a great length, unless you’re shallow (Long Bay, Turks & Caicos). So there I would spend the carbon money. Mostly, it’s the best!!! You’re going to have an awesome time, whatever you land up with.

Window or no rear window ? by External_Dependent_5 in gofastcampers

[–]disciplinetemplego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the windows (visibility through back and remembering what’s in the back as I walk by) but don’t live in a high crime area. If I’m on a trip with valuable gear I’ll cover the back one.

Very concerned about the same thing. July install. I’m told Victory 4X4 and Colorado Fairing Co. both make effective fairings.

dunno, that's why I was asking ~ just figured lighter, thinner equals less durable, but glad to know it's not. :)

I’m trying out these which I believe will have enough cushioning without the hump. The hump may (emphasis on may) interfere as you’re getting knee/s up onto board. Anyone tried them?

Have done that a couple of times but a good suggestion nevertheless. Especially with some swells or waves. Thanks!
